I would think he answer is quite obvious, if simple deduction is used. A purple people eater eats purple people. This is evidenced and confirmed by the lack of both purple people AND purple people eaters in our everyday life. It is very rare that you will encounted a purple person, as they have, for the most part, been eaten to extinction. On occasion you may encounter a purple person, most likely due to a blockage in the windpipe. Your duty in this situtation, is to initiate proper measures to remove that blockage and return the person to his or her original color before a purple people eater arrives on the scene. This too is unlikely, since the extinction of purple people as caused a famine amongst the purple people eaters and they have largely died out as well. Efforts, however are being made by the Germans to repopulate the world with purple people eaters. Also, a strategic collaboration between M&Ms and Aggies & Shooters Marble Company is already being formed to provide a suitable supply of purple people to nourish the purple people eater population.

Seeing as how they are also one eyed, one horned and fly I would say they are purple things that eat people. I dont know any one eyed oned horned flying purple people.
