It costs nothing, see your nearest Catholic Parish Priest.

No.....just go to the pastor of a Catholic church or a friend who is Catholic and they will get you involved in the classes to learn about the faith. No cost. Good luck.

Disregard the postings on how Catholics don't follow the Bible. That is not true....people do not understand the history and reasons behind certain aspects of Catholicism. All the Protestant religions are offshoots of Catholicism....meaning the Catholic faith was the original Christian faith. The King James version of the Bible removed several books from the original Bible, the Catholic Bible...which is probably why some have a problem with Catholicism...they say it's not in the Bible, but are they looking at the books that Protestants removed? Probably not...good luck in your search for faith.

To act on Sincere Belief, without evidence, may lead to some very bad decisions. Down in Florida, somebody named Zimmerman had no evidence that somebody named Treyvan had done anything wrong, but, in the Sincere Belief that treyvon should be followed, Zimmerman ignored police orders, followed him, and one of them is dead. Over in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, some 76 year old Sincerely Believed (without any evidence) that his 13-year old neighbor had stolen a shotgun. So there is security camera footage, from a nearby building, showing the old guy shooting the young guy to death. In various times and various places around the world, various people have claimed that an all-wise and all powerful God was not wise enough to decide for Himself when and how to punish those who offend Him, nor actually powerful enough to inflict the punishment by Himself. So they Sincerely Believed that they should embark on Crusades, burn witches, bomb abortion clinics, fly hijacked planes into large buildings, shoot schoolgirls in the face, and so on. And every now and then, some Sincere Believers are reported as having prayed for their child to be healed, rather than seek competent medical care, and the child dies. Are these deaths, caused by Sincere Belief, considered a cost?

Converting in and of itself does not cost any money. If you have marriage issues that need to be straighted out, there will be small filing fees attached to that. I think it cost me something like $20 to file a petition to have my marriage recognized by the Church. These fees can be waived if you can't afford them.

To those who are writing "10%" -- unlike other religious organizations, the Catholic Church does not require that one donate a certain percentage, let alone 10%.

Actually it does not cost anything. At the classes a fee is requested for material costs (books and such) but, if a person can not afford that it is usually waived too. (The fee is small though).

I believe you just have to take classes to convert. Why Catholic? They believe in a lot of things that aren't in the Bible. I hope you research thoroughly.
