how do i remove the factory radio in my 97 f150?

First you have to pry off the oval dash piece around the radio; it's just held on with clips. After that you can remove the radio with DIN removal tools, available at any car audio shop or Wal-mart in the car audio area.

go to wal-mart and get a ford removal tool. they fit on each side of the radio. there will be holes to insert the tools push the tool toward them selves while pulling. sometimes u will need to wiggle the radio to get it out.

There is a ford radio tool. Its a U shaped tool. You can pick them up at most Auto parts stores.

purchase a ford radio removal kit from walmart.
cost is about 6.00 u.s.
