Okay, first of all I need to get the public service announcement out of the way. Mac users are people too, do not leave Mac-bashing comments for an answer, balh-blah-blah. Anyway, in new releases of OSX Tiger, is iLife inluded on the OS install disc? My iMac never came with an iLife disc, so is this possible on releases from August-Present?

It should be on your Mac OS X install disks that came with your iMac, but its only accessible when you do a reinstall, you can't install iLife separately from the install disk.

If you've done a reinstall since getting your iMac and failed to choose the iLife programs from the list of programs to install, then you'll have to reinstall again this time making sure to choose the various iLife programs. (iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, etc.)

If memory serves, iLife is included with OS X but only for a 90 day trial as part of DOTmac. My DOTmac trial exppired, but iLife is still on my dock.

Have you tried to "Repair OS X"? It may put iLife back on the dock. Go to Apple's site and search for: Repair OS X

I used to get that, but also I found I had a virus. The only way out was to format my drive and start afresh
