Low calorie is the best thing I've found, and healthy. I would suggest finding out the number of calories you should consume per day, then eat about 200-400 less than that number. This site has great recipe's and a calorie calculator on it...

There are also some low-cal recipe's on that site if your interested. When you walk, try to speed-walk and get your heart rate up. Cut out junkfoods like chips, soda, cookies, candy, etc as much as you can.
hope this gives you a good start, good luck!!

I'd recommend a low carb diet. Below is a link to a free diet site.

For other sites just type in Free Diets in Google...

Start at 1200 calories per day for 7 days. Get 45% of the calories from carbohydrates, 30% from protein and 25% from fat. (So around 135 grams of carbs, around 90 grams of protein, and around 33 grams of fat per day.) You're going to have to read labels, and you're going to have to be strict with yourself. I suggest you get a notebook to keep track of everything. You're gonna be hungry. The third day it's the worst and then it gets a little easier. Make sure you're drinking half your body weight in ounces of water each day. (So if you weigh 140 you should be taking in 70 ounces of water. Just divide your body weight in half to get the number of ounces of water you need per day.) Expect to lose 5 or more pounds during this week.

After 7 days, increase your daily calorie intake to 1600 calories per day, with the same percentages as before. So it will be around 180 grams of carbs, 120 grams of protein, and 45 grams of fat each day. Continue to drink your water. Your weight may increase at first, and that's ok it's just water weight. Don't get discouraged and don't give up and DON'T CHEAT. You should lose a half to two pounds per week during this time. Continue to eat 1600 calories per day until you go 2 or more weeks without weight loss. Then eat normally until you gain 3-5 pounds, then go back to 1200 calories per day for 2 days. Then eat normally again until you gain 3-5 pounds, then go back to 1200 calories per day for 2 days.

If you are disciplined and eat the right foods in the right amounts, you will be amazed at the results. Give it a good 6 weeks to take affect.

The more you exercise, the more results you will see.

lol hunny. patience, and self strength, no starving, no weirdo fad diets. jut healthy eating plenty of water exercise (don't over do it cause that will have a reverse affect) and wear tall shoes because it makes your legs look longer thinner and gives your butt a work out (plus good practice for prom night itself) good luck!
