Get regular trims. As your hair grows, it becomes more susceptible to damage and split ends. These split ends can actually travel up the hair shaft, causing strands to break prematurely. A trim every eight to 10 weeks can alleviate the problem.
Condition every day. While skipping a shampoo every other day is a great idea (too-frequent sudsing can cause hair to dry out), using conditioner every day is a must. Conditioner strengthens the hair shaft and keeps locks supple and pliable. This guards against breakage.
Watch hair accessories. Look for those that are smooth to the touch and don't have any metal parts that could snag or tear hair.
Go easy on the blow-dryer. Using a dryer every day can make hair dry and damaged -- not the healthy look you're going for with your long hair. As often as you can, allow hair to air-dry instead.
Include essential fatty acids in your diet. While nothing you eat can magically transform your hair, a diet rich in fatty acids such as omega-3s can help keep hair strong, shiny, and flexible. Omega-3s can be found in fish such as tuna and salmon.
*I also bought this vitamin, I saw a tremendous improvement in my hair length. My family noticed and friends too!

You can grow your hair faster by finding a quality, all natural hair growth product, eating protein, taking vitamins, and drinking water. My hair would never grow, but my husband wanted my hair to touch my lower back. I tried Mane N Tail, Giovanni, and Nioxin, but these products didn't really increase my hair growth rate. However, I finally discovered a great product that got me out of my hair growth plateau. I also discovered some other hair growth tips.
Tip #1: I suggest you go with all-natural hair care products. Unnatural hair care products are a no-no for someone who wants long-lasting, healthy hair growth. Find a hair growth product that contains powerful essential oils, natural herbs, and vitamin rich nutrients your hair needs to survive. Look for products with ingredients such as: Aloe Vera, Citrus Fruits, Jojoba, Rosemary, and Sage. Make sure you stray away from all natural products that use natural extracts. Extracts are not as powerful as essentials oils. They are a cheap substitute for the real thing. Although there are several natural hair care products on the market, not all hair growth products are created equal. Make sure you read the fine print. Most “natural” products still contain phosphates, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum, mineral oil, and other lab created humectants that ultimately damage your hair. My advice---if you can’t read the ingredients, don’t buy the product. When I was searching for a natural hair growth product, I found one really great buy, Beauty 4 Ashes Super Hair Growth System. Finding this company took me awhile; but Beauty 4 Ashes pretty much gives you everything you need to make your hair grow. Foremost, I checked the ingredient listings and the products contained no artificial ingredients. The system also included hair growth vitamins, a great hair healthy eating plan, and even scalp stimulating hair growth exercise routine. At first, the system may seem a bit pricey, but, boy was I impressed with the results. In 9 months, I went from short hair above my ears to hair two inches below shoulders. Now, I am no product junkie; but I have to tell you that this product is worth the money. It does not cost an arm and leg and it is worth every penny you pay. You can find it easily at www.discoverb4a.com. Also, check for it on Ebay. You may actually find a deal.
Tip #2: A Healthy Hair Eating Plan
Your hair is all protein. Thus, you need a protein rich diet, chocked fill of B Vitamins and other hair-strengthening nutrients. Increase your intake of fish. It is full of healthy proteins and essential fatty acids and natural oils your hair needs. In addition, drink a protein supplement or shake everyday. If you follow this plan, not only will your hair grow, but you will also lose weight. That is, of course, if you lay off the junk food.
Tip #3: Drink Water
Eight to ten glasses of water is an absolute requirement. Drinking water flushes your body of toxins, chemicals, and impurities that stifle your hair growth and disrupt your hormone and enzyme imbalances. Water also transports the important nutrients your body needs throughout your body. Hate drinking water? Add lemon and Splenda to have a healthy, tasty alternative.

Begin by taking Pre-Natal vitamins, these vitamins are high in potasium which helps with hair and nail growth, they also give you a lot of calcium which also does the same thing. Washing your hair with olive oil or beer has been known to help, but the main thing to do is take the vitamins, they will help you more than anything, and they will also help in other ways. My fiance got a bad hair cut a year ago and she was able to grow her hair back to what she wanted in just a few months, it was simply amazing.

This might sound a bit gross but it works ; ) I promis :
every night, for a week or so.. (Depends how long you want your hair) put olive oil in your shampoo and then wash it with conditioner.. (optional) then make sure you dry your hair by going threw your hair with a COMB ( DO NOT USE A BRUSH ) and blowdry,
that should do the trick lol

Well, what worked for me was putting whipped cream and honey in it. You have to keep it in there for like an hour then wash it off in the shower. Trust me! It works! It sounds really weird but I had to make mine grow faster and my doctor said to do that. Good Luck!

I read that if you give yourself a scalp massage daily for a minute or two if helps, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing that will make it magically grow faster.

I've heard:
1. There is special shampoos and conditioners
2. Braid your hair to one side (the side you don't
sleep on) when you go to bed
3. Take prenatal vitamins or special vitamins just
for nail and hair growth.
