Sure it would have! But can do and will do are two different things. Just because I have ability to club my kids on the head and eat them doesn't mean I will.

Hi Julia,
Great question. There are over 100 differnt bible versions on the market today and only one comes close to the correct word for word translation from God. I found that to be the King James version bible of 1611.
Their were two streams of the word that came out of the third century. The bible was mutilated that is the Ten commandments were changed by the Emporer Constantine to unite pagans with christians.
The second commandment which forbids idolatry was deleted and the sabbath day of 4th commandment was changed from Saturday to Sunday.
These changes corrupted God's word and were also identified in scripture as being part of the Beast organization.
read Dan. 7v25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Here God has alerted his people to this world wide organization that thinks to change his laws and times. It is known as the Beast.
It is impossible for God to lie.
Hebrews 6v
18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
If you identify the method of the translation and it stays to the original word in the hebrew and original greek texts you should be okay.
We aren't suppose to understand everything in God's word.. And that is the problem with most casual readers of the bible, that approach the scripture without care, prayer and reverence.
When I first read Revelation all the way through I was amazed at the symbology and humbled that I was reading something at the time that was deep and could only be understood with the extra help.
God's Ten commandments are solid and so is the testimony of JESUS.
Put your trust in JESUS and he will help you understand the scriptures.
Hope to see you in heaven.

You are such a tease Julia you know that the scriptures were written by men not god. Some of it maybe lies but most if a mixture of distorted history and imagination

God cannot "do anything". God cannot sin. By implication, God cannot lie, since lying is a sin.
The Bible is about 30% prophecy. It is the only book of its kind in the whole world. There is plenty of proof that it is the Word of God.
Now, if it is the Word of God, are you going to keep fighting God, or are you going to repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The choice is yours alone. The consequences are also yours alone.

God is not a liar, and He won't lie. God is not like us, We are sinners. But when you get saved you can become close to the lord. Why would the lord lie about what he can do? Lord doesn't have no reason to lie about anything. Because he created all.. The lord is not a liar, no does he go back on his word.

You should not ever say God lies. God holds your next breath in his hand. He can stop your heart with the next breath you breath.
You may not be aware but you will hear those very words judgment day and you WILL give an account to God for what you said.
I pray you will change your heart and actions before it is too late.

If you assume a God, He/she did not write scripture. It was supposed to have been inspired by him/her but filtered through the prejudices and mores of the prophets and their times. That is why the O.T. is so contradictory, but it is still a magnificent library.

Scriptures were written by humans and their interpretations were human in their mistakes and misunderstanding of something that happened decades before it was put into writing.
A little like chinese whispers.
PS Looks like the idiot has been let out for a while tonight. Still looking for his pe-nis?
