{lol i proly didnt spell it right] Well, accutane is an acne medication that im on now, and it has REALLY badly dried out my skin. Like my lips, all around my face, and my right ear. It looks horrible so im looking for some moisturizers to help, like chapstik, and facial moisturizers that wont clog my pores. Thanx ^_^

I was on Accutane for a year when I was 16 years old - great drug - horrible side effects!
I have always used Cetaphil moisturizing lotion and Softlips chap stick and both of those worked really well for me!
Don't worry, the dryness only lasts for a little while!

As a healthcare provider I can tell you that this is a short term usual occurance with the use of Accutane. Your dermatologist probably warned you. But don't let it stop you from using this medication. The results of this treatment is well worth it. A 'cream' moisturizer is usually more effective than a lotion. I personally think Cetaphil makes a good product. Vaseline on your lips may help. You'll have to see for yourself, everybody is different. But hang in there....some day you'll be happy you did.

the excessively dry lips are a side effect of the drug.... use vaseline and medicated lip ointment for your lips and vaseline on your ear..... apply often...on the dry area. as for your face any lotion like keri that is a bit more greasy.. you do not want to end up with breaks in the skin. Drink lots of water and keep hydrated......

witch hazell,hydrating gel,thats a good moisturisers,it helped out my dry skin,watch out for breakouts when u get started on accutane,a mite go on it
