This guy I am dating treats me really well, is soooo sweet to me, but whenever he says he's going to do something, he doesn't and comes up with an excuse as to why he didn't do it. Is this a really bad sign?!

tell him that u will meet him at his house on a certain night to have sex and dont show up...and next day when he asks y u didnt show....tell him that yur sorry u said u wud do something but something came up....and then say sould familiar...and then tell him that if he starts keepin his promises then u will do the same

First off, you need to look at the type of things he is saying he is going to do. Is he blowing smoke to impress you, or does he really want to do these things that he doesn't get done? It is great that he treats you well and that he is sweet, but if he is lying to impress you, then you need to nip it in the bud now. Ask him about it, find out why he comes up with excuses. The answer may suprise you, and don't be afraid to tell you that you really like the things he does for you and that he doesn't have to try harder, to just be himself.

Yes he may be sweet and all, but maybe you should do a little probing into why he doesn't follow thru on the stuff he says he's going to do. There is always some underlying issue to be resolved. Also, making excuses is a bad habit, perhaps give him no choice but to tell you the truth.

It could be. Just let him know how it makes you feel when he tells you he's going to do something and then doesn't. Tell him not to tell you he's going to do something unless he is 100% sure he is going to do it. Just be careful. It could be a sign of bad things to come if you don't talk to him. Don't keep your feelings bottled up. That's a sure-fire way to ruin a relationship. Communication is SO important!

I would say if you think it is bad then maybe you should just get out. Trust is huge in any relationship and if you do not feel you can trust him, and you feel like he may be lying to you then just leave!

It could be, he is not working for the relationship. If he doesnt do the small thing now, he most likely wont do the larger thing later.
