Ummm, well friend used the phrase as a simile for somthing she was describing bout her computer...The Norman D Landing, what is it and what's it mean?? lol...

The "Normandy landings" refers to the Allied invasion of Normandy, France (which was then occupied by Nazi Germany) on "D-Day" -- June 6, 1945.

Without having your friend's actual words, it's hard to know how she was comparing her computer to the Normandy landings. However, she may have meant that it was complicated, high-maintenance and/or unpredictable
