I think Amy Grant sings it. Anyone know where I can find the words to it? Also, what does "El Shedai" mean?

El Shaddai

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
El Elyon na Adonai;
Age to age you're still the same
By the power of the name.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
Erkahmka na Adonai;
We will praise and lift you high El Shaddai

Translation of Hebrew
El Shaddai - God Almighty
El Elyon - The Most High God
na Adonai - O Lord
Erkahmka - We will love you

Oh yes and I love this song and perform it at home at times.
El Shaddai means Lord, as does ``Adonai`
It goes like this,
El Shaddai,El Shaddai El Elona Adonai, age to age Your still the same. by the power of the Name
It was written by Michael Card, and I will email you shortly with more details.

Beautiful song.

According to Jewish tradition the name Shadai comes from the word "dai" which means "enough." The "Sh" beforehand is a prefix which means "the one who." God is called Shadai because "He told the world 'enough!'" He set boundaries to this world, causing that it should be finite and limited unlike many of the spiritual worlds.

El Shaddai is usually translated as "God Almighty" but the origin of the Hebrew word is somewhat ambiguous. Many believes it comes from God of the Mountain(s).
