My daughter was severely mercury poisoned by her vaccines. Please get educated, no more than 1 shot at a time, and check bottle for thymerosal=50% mercury. It's out of "most" vaccines but not all!

Good DR:
A decade ago, the rate of autism was 1 to 2 per 10,000. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) research now indicates that one in every 150 children now have autism. The dramatic rise in autism rates correlates with the increase in mercury exposure. Thimerosal was first marketed in the mid 1930's. Autism was first described as a new, never before seen disorder in 1943, in children born in the 1930's. Neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism have similar symptoms to those of mercury poisoning.
Thousands of families have reported that their normally-developing children changed after receiving mercury-containing vaccines and began displaying symptoms that lead to a diagnosis of autism. The symptoms of autism not only mimic those of mercury poisoning, but children with autism have been found to have more mercury in their bodies than typically-developing children.

The CDC has warned mothers to be about high levels of mercury in seafood. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently closed down schools when it was discovered that air mercury levels were at 30mcg/m. (EPA's action level in the air is 1mcg/m). Yet infants injected with multiple mercury containing vaccines in the 1990s received up to 187 mcg during the first six months of life. A typical dose received by a two-month old who received three mercury vaccines was 125 times EPA's daily allowable exposure levels .

My daughter was tested with what is called a Challenge test to excrete 260mcg of mercury and 3mcg was the reference range. That is NOT a typo. 5 DR's including a Neurologist have all said the only source we know where she could have gotten the mercury WAS her VACCINES! I was also tested, only showed 7mcg.

i'm not going to sit here and say to people that you should or shouldn't vaccinate your children but as a doctor myself i have done a lot of research on this. you should really do some research on the controversy of vaccinations it's quite interesting. but i will say that my first child is vaccinated but my second child more than likely won't be!

They recognize that autism is a genetic predisposition traditionally. The query is what triggers it. Vaccines are a probability, both the vaccine or what number of are given without delay. For a few it possibly pollution in there atmosphere or an hypersensitivity that is why vitamin might make a change. Mom and pop's age on the time of belief additionally make a change. Both my brother and my cousin are autistic so this was once a enormous challenge for me whilst I discovered I was once having a boy. I selected to extend vaccines and are living as clearly as I can. I additionally breastfeed, use fabric diapers, and use normal cleansing merchandise. My giant down fall is making use of natural and organic meals considering that of the fee on the cheap however I do what I can. My brother was once a usual convenient little one till he bought his first circular of pictures. He bought particularly unwell with every set of pictures and generally ended up with an ear contamination in a while after. I have no idea for certain if the pictures are guilty however might instead now not danger it. For me in my view given my household historical past the danger simply is not valued at it. All moms and dads make the excellent offerings they may be able to with the know-how they have got on the time and also you are not able to beat your self up for a resolution already made particularly whilst you do not know for certain vaccines are an challenge.

You must be involved in litigation against big pharma. You seem to have too much ego or $$$ invested into this to look at the science for what it is and admit you're wrong. If a study ever comes out showing a link (there have been lots of them so far), I'll admit I'm wrong. Hasn't happened yet and won't.
In the meantime (as others have pointed out) you're discouraging people from being vaccinated. Do you want to see eradicated diseases make a comeback? I bet if your kid got polio, you'd be shaking your fists at someone for not vaccinating your child.

I'm glad you aren't calling for people to stop vaccinating. Vaccinations are tough & I think the schedule they have set up is too agressive. Unless your children are around a lot of unvacinated kids, I'd suggest waiting till the child is older than the "official" recommendations. But kids do need their vacinations. I have a portraiton my wall of my great aunt who died at age 4 because there were no diptheria vaccine in 1910.
They stopped using thimerosal (mercury) in the manditory vaccines in 2001. The old lots with thimerosal expired in January 2003.
April 29, 1999, the DDS reported a State-wide (California) incidence rate of about 15 to 20 per 10,000. (as much as 1 out of 5000) I haven't found the rate for 1997, but I doubt the rate jumped from "1 to 2 per 10,000" to 15 to 20 per 10,000 in 2 years. So your "a decade ago" stats are off. I suspect you are siting stats from the 80s.
When comparing autism stats from 20 years ago, you have to keep in mind that Asperger's was largely unheard of, therefore largely undiagnosed in America. Aspergers wasn't added to the DSM-IV until 1994. (I seriously suspect my uncle, born 1932, had Asperger's) Considering at least half of those on the spectrum are Aspergers, that accounts for a big chunk of the increase right there.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome
Another factor to consider is misdiagnosis in the past. Many may have been classified as "brain damaged" or "retarded" or "childhood schitzaphrinia." In Illinois, there were five cases in 1992-93, and 6,005 in 2003-04. Doea anyone actually believe there were only 5 cases of autism in Illinois in 1992? Isn't it more likely there were only 5 DIAGNOSED cases of autism?
So if we compare an estimate of "classic" or Kanner's autism from 20 years ago (1 out of 1000) to the current stats of "classic" or Kanner's autism (1 out of 300) you have a major increase, but hardly an "epidemic." Increasing three times over it bad, but not as bad as 70 times over!!!

I just posted this information in response to another question regarding mercury in vaccines. Please read:
The following is a link to the FDA chart which lists pediatric vaccines by manufacturer and shows the mercury content in each vaccine. The is not one vaccine that is not available without mercury. Just make sure to ask your child's pediatrician which brand of vaccine they are using before you vaccinate. http://www.fda.gov/cber/vaccine/thimerosal.htm#t1
The following is a link to the Autism Society of America. It is an article written by Martha Herbert M.D., Ph.D. entitled "Time to Get a Grip" and goes on to discuss the health impacts on environmental changes and pollution and it's link to autism. It's a VERY interesting read. http://www.autism-society.org/site/DocServer/eh_get_a_grip.pdf?docID=4821

I am with you on this subject and keep fighting.
Bila sounds like the pediatrician that was on Oprah a few weeks ago that thought she was high and mighty but kept making excuses up for the Pharmaceutical companies that fund their hospitals and pay for their lunches. I wonder how much stock Bila has in Merck.

As a pediatrician, this hesitating to vaccinate children is a huge problem among America's children. Immunizations have prevented very serious illnesses that are making a comeback because of misconceptions parents have about their safety. Because they have been so successful at wiping out serious illnesses, parents are losing sight of their importance.
Regarding mercury: The FDA guidelines and the EPA guidelines (for an even greater margin of safety) for mercury content in vaccinations have been met because of the 'theoretical' possibilty of toxicity. The American academy of pediatrics and the american academy of family practicioners have therefore taken measures (since 1999) to reduce/eliminate mercury from vaccines....
"In August 1999, the FDA approved a thimerosal-free hepatitis B vaccine manufactured by Merck and Co., and in March 2000, approved a thimerosal-reduced (less than 0.5 mcg of mercury per dose) hepatitis B vaccine manufactured by Glaxo SmithKline. In March 2001, the FDA approved a newly formulated version of Aventis Pasteur's Tripedia, a diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine containing only a trace of thimerosal (less than 0.5 mcg of mercury per dose.) Additionally, Wyeth-Lederle Vaccines and Pediatrics market a single-dose, thimerosal-free formulation of its Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) vaccine in the United States. This effectively concludes the process of eliminating thimerosal from the routine immunizations given to children in the United States. " - Medscape ( Robert Steele, MD)
From the medical journal, "Pediatrics" in 2003, "Attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors indicative of vaccine safety concerns contribute substantially to underimmunization in the United States. Although concerns were significantly more common among parents of underimmunized children, many parents of fully immunized children demonstrated similar attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, suggesting a risk to the currently high vaccination levels."
"Pediatric practice has seen a significant decrease in morbidity and mortality over the past several decades with the disappearance of polio, the near extinction of Hib meningitis, and greatly improved control over pertussis, varicella, and numerous other now vaccine-preventable diseases, due to the introduction and widespread use of immunizations....
Regarding Autism:
"A retrospective analysis was published recently in JAMA that demonstrated essentially no correlation between MMR immunization rates and children with autism enrolled in California's regional service center system. Healthcare providers understand that it is human nature to seek the cause of an illness like autism, so it is not surprising that parents looking for a cause for an illness with an unknown etiology may blame a vaccine, despite scientific evidence to the contrary." - Medscape Pediatrics
