First of all I would like to point out that I looove thick and wavy hair!! My hair is not thin, but not thick either. Its very long and straight - you have no idea how many times I've wished my hair were more wavy. Please don't straighten your hair!!! I bet you look so beautiful! But anyway, since my hair is so damn straight I have no personal experience on wavy cuts. My sister has wavy hair that she cut short (below her jaw but a little above her shoulders), she also has bangs that are cut thinner and I think she looks really cute. My mom also has very thick wavy hair that she has cut at a medium length, framed around her face and softly layered (I don't think it looks choppy at all). A persons hairstyle is really an extension of their personality, though, and since you have an oval face shape you could probably pull off any style. Think about what kind of styles you've seen and liked. For me, this is really hard to answer without looking at you or having gotten to know you. Honestly, my best advice would be to go to a professional and very experienced hairstylist who you know does good work and ask them your question. Have them talk to you about what they think the best ideas might be and be sure you are open with them about what you like. It's always best to go to a professional and be in person having an honest conversation - most my best haircuts are results of this. Good luck! I'm sure you'll walk out looking great!

The hairstyle that you picked out was beautiful, but I wouldn't do the highlights in the front. The problem that you will have is that your hair is not naturally straight. You might want to invest in getting your hair straightened before getting it cut. That way you will be assured that it will look like you want it to.

hey i looked at that sight you recommened i think that if you had ever seen ashely tisdale hair short (SHOULDER LENGTH) then instend side bangs tell them to put regular bangs. layers will not make your hair choppy but to make sure i would tell them not to much layers.i will tell you what they did to my hair, my hair was down to the back of my bra i wanted it shoulder legth and layers they said dont get alot of layers just a tad . no getting your hair thinned will not ruin it i got mine done and it makes it easier to straighten and it takes some of the curles out of your head,so it gives it a more straight look.So all you need to tell them i want it shoulder legth with slite layers and regular bangs and then thinned out a little. hope this helps~!GOOD LUCK!~

Getting your hair thinned will not ruin it at all!!!!!!! It is just a hair cut doen on the underneath layers.
I think that haircut would only work for straight hair, LOVE the cut

if u go to a nice salon, the haircutter can cut your offer you great suggestions.
she has to feel your hair, whether it's dry, oily , frizzy etc to get the real feel of it.
some people look good with layers. you can have layers on your roots or layers on the tips of your hair.
again a good stylist would know. so make sure you go to a reputable salon. not just a cheap one.

hmm i have thick wavy hair and i straighten my too so don't get too many layers or it will get so poofy like mine. if you like ashley tisdale's print out a picture of her and bring it to the stylist or something. maybe getting a few dark brown or light brown highlights would be cute. just don't get blonde it looks hideous.

um...... I don't really like that hair style that you picked. it is a little too different. And also don't go too choppy or it will look sort of bad. Check out pics.

You gotta try Mixed Chicks products. That thick hair...I know all about that. They do something in their products that is spectacular. And it is pretty simple. You shampoo, condition, then put their leave-in conditioner on your hair wet and air dry. That is it. (http://www.mixedchicks.net)
Might want to try their routine before you thin your hair out.

No I don't like that style, but Short, straight, thin, with body, is cute like a bob, like the model on the target commercial had! That is what I might get, but whatever is your style...
