As a former atheist, it merely reinforces where I came from, and how I thought before coming to Christ. They are just as I was before.

More than a few atheists think they are intelligent because they are smarter than a selected set of Christians they have found to be stupid. That is to say they are sure they are smarter than the dumbest Christian they've imagined. At the same time, there isn't any evidence these atheists are intellectually curious enough to seek out more rigorous explications of faith that could be more challenging to them. They often assume they are asking questions that Christians haven't asked themsleves for over a millennia, some of these Christians possibly being brighter than they. Nor are they interested in the history of atheist thought in the West or how it is different now than it might have been in ancient Greece. How is Lucretius' materialist philosophy different from Dawkins'. Rarely do I encounter an atheist who takes a critical view of science rather than a naive Positivist position, the position that supported robust atheism in the early 20th century but was discredited by the 1960s. Even their leaders, Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins fall into this category, but who would notice except those capable? Those capable are the ones atheists don't read and don't believe exist. Basically, I see apathy and conceit.

That is my two cents, since you asked.

No difference, really.
I have no problem with Atheists - their beliefs have no bearing on me.
My belief in God requires me to treat everyone with the same respect.
In some instances I have seen some very intelligent, respectful discussions between Atheists and Christians.
Sometimes, I have seen where the Atheist may get disrespectful, I have seen where the Christian(?) gets disrespectful and discredits his own claims to Christianity.
People are people whatever their beliefs.
I think it's a matter of respect for one another.
I can disagree with someone without being disrespectful, and I expect others to do the same.
Would Jesus do any different?

Through this site, I knew then that atheists really existed. I live in the christian world and it really shocked me to learn that atheists are real. How could a God be patient with them!! ?? They are as hard as a rock.!!!No amount of words can shake them. They are in deep sleep, some are snoring, they don't want to wake up. They don't care about God. Their hearts and minds are closed. You can find in this site christians and atheists exchanging ideas, criticizing each other, debating, taunting, questioning....
The atheists are just our lost brothers and sisters who need some guidance.

I am NOT a Christian, thank God.

Before I came here I had never met or actually spoke with an atheist. I had the stereotypical Madelyn Murry O'Hare in my head. I admit, I thought they would have to be weird to not believe in God. I was surprised to find that they are just people like all of us. They just believe different than some of us.

After I attended an Assembly of God church for awhile, I was so angry at God. I ran away as fast as I could from those hate spouting fanatics. I tried to deny God, I tried with all my heart. He would not let me go. I have come away with a stronger faith than ever in god and His love. He showed me that the bible is man made stories that are fictional. I want to say crap, but that is my word for it.

Atheists deny Jesus Christ. This site hasn't affected my opinion. But it has let me understand them a bit more.

I've never had negative opinions of atheists, I just didn't know so many existed. Guess I should get out of my small town, huh?

This site has affected my opinion of so called christians. They are more narrow minded than I had thought. I'm not saying all - just the majority.

No, because I haven't seen any tactics here that I haven't seen elsewhere. I think there are a few who are interested in serious debate and some who don't even try.

Wow, I love what Fish said - fundamental atheists. What a concept! I think he's right, LOL.

Seriously, it has not changed my views. Some of them are here to poke a little fun at us, and that's fine and often amusing.
