I would have no problem dating a "mixed" girl, but the problem is not the "race" but the culture...If a person is 3/4 white and 1/4 Black...why are they still considered Black? And why don't they usually adopt English as a first language? For some reason they like to act and talk like an uneducated ape, I know lots of legitimately Black (literally, like BLUE-Black,) that don't feel the need to call everybody N*GGAH or DAWG and promote ignorance like it was their very own religion. So why is it that "Afro-Americans" think that racism and bigotry and hypocrisy are cool?
I think you'll find that it is hard to shake a stereotype that seems so universally accepted by both Blacks AND Whites, but the real problem here is that people don't seem to take time to look past the surface of appearance...
And that's really sad.

Maybe it's that African-American females don't want to date white guys? I'd never dated an African-American female because I never knew too many of them, and the ones I knew didn't seem like they'd be interested.

Because white guys are intimidated by what they do not know and we are ignorant. I don't have a problem with interracial dating but the rest of the world has not accepted it yet.
Also in my experience African American females do not seem to like white guys. They do not engage in conversation as much, but then again white girls seem the same way.
In the end I think it is intimidating because they are afraid of the unknown?

Because most black girls are not into dating mixed races. Now the race for blacks girls with white are on the rise.

Perhaps a lot of the "black" women that they ask out
or have wanted to ask out have reject them and / or
were simply not reciprocally attracted to them.
Speaking of the possibility that these “black” women
have “rejected”: or “spurned” them or their attention
-- perhaps the "black" women that the 'White' guys
may like -- may be unresponsive to them because,
unfortunately, said ”black” woman may have
previously encountered (and / or been witness to) the
ignorant behaviors of certain 'White' guys who enjoy
trying to racistly stereotype “black” women in general
(--- ex. the ‘White guy who ignorantly and arrogantly goes
around basing his views of them on media misrepresentation
and thus, falsely assuming that the woman would behave in
a "ghetto" manner; or that the woman was desperate for
’any’ man to accept her; or that ‘just because he is White’ the
woman would either ‘thank her lucky stars’ for his attention
or would for no other reason simply ‘reject him’ altogether)
This type of behavior can be a turn-off for ‘any’ women
(including “black” women and other women of-color).

Cuz they're intimidated.
They picture black women as either strong willed or too domineering by what they hear from friends, see on moveis, or think they already know.
