I won't feed Iams at all they test on animals buy purina brand so far they have been kept out of the recall mess. But check the purina site because they are being so cautious right now and checking and rechecking everything. I buy friskies wet food and the purina dry food. If your feeding a cat it needs some wet food as well as dry so go for Purian brand. Good luck

I know lots of people are saying buy Purina. I was feeding my cats that, but I haven't had an e-mail answered as to where they buy their grain products. This morning I switched to Wellness brand. Expensive, but I think it's worth it. Menu Foods is not the place to check. Go to the FDA website because they carry the list for all pet foods. But even they say it will change. Wysong sounded like good food until I read (on their own website) that their food is not nutritionally complete without buying their additives. Just keep in mind when you change pet food abruptly, rather than gradually, your pet can get diarrhea for a couple of days.

Iams dry food is OK, and, actually, most of the cans of food are, too. Just the fish flavors and the "meats and cuts" pouches were recalled. If you are worried, try to find "Spot's Stew" cans for cats. It's all-natural, and that's what I have been using since the recall.

Sure, only IAMS wet food is contaminated but a very healthy food for your cat is Felidae. Has no wheat or corn gluten, also, I see a recommendation for Science Diet but that's all by-products and just garbage so don't feed your cat that but check the ingredients on IAMS but you may want to switch to Felidae after watching this www.iamscruelty.com

I believe it is SAFE as far as the recall goes, but it's certainly not HEALTHY for long term use.

I used to feed my female cat the weight control variety, and she actually gained weight. She was on strict portion controlled amounts, but it made no difference. Now, I feed Innova Evo, and it's made such a difference. Iams has too much grains, fillers, and by products.

Why would you want to?
Why would you take that risk?
Iams is not a good food. It wasn't before the recall, it's definitely not now!

Look into Innova, California Natural, Artemis, Felidae, and Wellness.

Depends on where you buy it, and how cautious they are.. The FDA has said that stores haven't all removed the product from their shelves, and I myself have seen the exact recalled products still on the shelves. Iams isn't a good food anyhow, switch to something that isn't on the list, and has no wheat gluten, corn gluten and no rice protein. That way you don't have to worry.

The last time I checked the dry foods had been safe. You can check http://www.menufoods.com/recall/index.html and compare the updated lists
