The best thing ever is Airborne! (aavailable at Costco, Walmart, any drugstore). You will feel better about 20 minutes after taking it. It also seems to cut a cold down time in half or better. For your sore throat, gargle with a mild salt and water solution or even better, Listerine. I find these two things make me fell "well" within an hour.

Apple cider vinegar 1 - 2 teaspoons mixed with 8 oz of water helps cleanse the body and wards off sickness.

Take a steamy shower before bedtime(for the stuffy nose) and before you got to sleep take a dose of nightquil.
