It's "understand" or "accept", not "believe in". Do you "believe in" gravity?

There's a much stronger hold by the "Christian" lobby in America. Hence, they influence laws that are performed; evolution is accepted in Europe because such lobbies do not influence governments. Such lobbies also explain why the US is so backwards in medical research compared to other nations.
