Classical Christian theology understands God's omnipotence, not as being God's ability to do whatever he wants, but as the manner in which God is not dependent upon any other reality to sustain his existence or be who he is. This is one of the differences between God and a creature. God's existence is not predicated or dependent on any other being-- this is not the case with us, we are dependent on other things in order to exist. Further, classical Christian theology does not hold that God can do whatever he wants. There is a unity between God's nature and God's will, and as such, there are some things that God cannot do-- like become evil or create a reality that is equivalent to himself. The confusion about what is meant by God's omnipotence is a common misunderstanding. But when you miss the real meaning of God's omnipotence (God requires nothing other than himself to be who he is) you run the risk of what is called "voluntarism". "Voluntarism" is a technical term that means God's will can overcome God's nature. Some people like this idea because it seems to protect their sense of God's sovereignty, but it has a consequence-- God becomes capricious and apparently cruel and untrustworthy.

As far as God being lonely, God is fully complete in himself and is not perfected by anything or anyone else. In the perfection of his being, he requires nothing else-- not you, not me, not this world. Therefore, God cannot, by his nature, be lonely. Also, if you are Christian, the essential nature of God is the communion of three divine persons called the Trinity. This means that God's unity is expressed in an eternal relationship of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. As such God is never "lonely" in terms of his inner life.

God can not be lonely. There is not loneliness in Him. God is all sufficient all by Himself. Loneliness has to do with being or feeling incomplete. The Lord is perfect and there is no incompleteness in Him, since He is the source of all life. Beside He does have someone as powerful as Him, His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said, "All power and authority has been given to me in heaven and in earth...." Mat 28:18.

I'm sure God could probably do that if he wanted. But he wouldn't need another God to keep him busy or anything. He already has friendship in human beings such as ourselves. That keeps him from being lonely anyways.

Then we would have a new group of religions. Religion/sectarian violence has already taken 100 million lives. Our petitions to God to get him to enable the religions agree on God fall on deaf ears. If the other God could be a Woman, she could nag the first one to get the religions to agree on God. That would be great.
