What would that be? Is God's justice a "dark side" of God?

The bible says God is light and in him is no darkness, but I see what you mean. The bile also says that in the beginning God separated the light from the darkness and called that separation good.
There are many mysteries about God , existence and the way things operate but we should stick with what we do know and is clear and what is unclear only secondarily.
Yet I dothink there is much more to God and the ways of God than we imagine or allow oursleves ot believe.

well , with all respect bro , i can never imagine that a humane being would come with such a notion ,,,,
the answer of your question is DEFINITELY NOT , the almighty god have given you everything that you depend on to go on in your life , do you know that if the pressure within your lungs had slightly changed , you would have been dead by now , and the same applies to the balance and homeostasis in your body systems . That was just a small example of how merciful and great the almighty God is . You would probably say that some people are sick , and the others live in endangered areas like Somalia or Palestine , and the others might have lost a limb or two in some areas that are infested with land mines . But i truly believe that this is not coz the almighty God has a dark and sadistic side (god for bid ) , what i believe in is that these people are going to be rewarded in the after life more than you and me for enduring and passing god's tests of faith.

I guess it depends on what GOD you are speaking about. How can a Holy God, who has no standards other than His to live up too, have a dark side? I mean He is the ultimate judge, jury, of all things. The Supreme being. Do you really believe He could have a dark side? He is SOVEREIGN! He is CREATOR. The Word says He allows mens hearts to become Hardened to obtain HIS goal, so I guess He wouldn't have a dark side, He could create someone else to fulfill His purpose.

Pretty old question but just had to answer. Based on observation there had to be a "primary source" because randomness in the universes is impossible. Reason tells us that the Prime Source created EVERYTHING. Human religions over the ages touch on good and evil, sometimes, with multiple dieties some are good and some are bad. In Taoism and other associated religions we see ying and yang. At any rate, the Prime Source not only created everything but IS everything. Thus Good. Thus Bad. Everything is balance. What we humans consider evil is only a balance of good at some other point in the universes.

Dear Thundercatt9 / Tim,

No, God does NOT have a dark side!!!

Justice is part of love.
His love is perfect.
His love is not an emotional thing like human love.

Think about it in day-to-day terms.
I don't let my 17 month old grandson stick his finger in the electrical socket even though he cries "bloody murder".
I also don't let him walk on the street (we don't have sidewalks), but I do let him walk around the driveway to his heart's content.

No, his justice is a fair side to God. He is fair and just. It's part of his character. A dark side would be against God's character.

1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you; God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.

As another person said, God is perfect. Since some people get annoyed at the fact that our mental understanding of God is limited, they try to label His acts to the best of their inferior mental abilities.
