What we should want, what men need to do for us, how we should behave.

No disrespect to your religions people, but screw that. I decide what being a women means to me, and no one else.

Do any other women feel this way?

I think it's stupid. Men throughout the history would need a taste of their own medicine, then they'd think different. I'm really grateful we live int he times that allow us, at least in the developed countries, to be and do what we want.

Maybe this is why so many women turn to Wicca or witches etc. There seems to be a gender war in so-called heaven also. I think some women play along just to give the illusion of being controlled but, have their own agendas and clicks as well. In a way I'm glad or relieved that Mrs. Winkler didn't get a long sentence. I understand how women might feel trapped especially with children in an abusive and religious relationship.I don't condone her shooting her husband though. Maybe a stun gun would have been a better choice or just an embarrassing divorce from documentation and hidden video. I would rather see women exposing these guys instead of killing them and going to prison over the alleged abuses.

Well, men are in the positions of highest power in many religions and they want to keep it that way, so they've skewed the belief systems they teach to make men superior to women in as many ways as possible. It's messed up and it's wrong.

I feel the same way you do. I decide what's right for me. Nobody else has the right to choose my path, just as I don't have the right to choose what's right for anybody else, except if I have kids and then I decide until they are old enough and educated enough to make choices for themselves.

Everybody has the natural right to be who they are and those who try to interfere are generally wrong to be doing so. Anybody who thinks I can't fix the truck because I'm a woman is wrong and I do not need some man to fix it, despite what they may think.

In Hindu religion women are said to be Power. Without power men is powerless. In every good work of Hindu worship if the woman is not with man, then such worship to God is not acceptable. Moreover,it is stated where the women are respected,Almighty God lives there. In every good or bad, the woman shared 50% part of man's good and bad results. The women can be compared just like our earth who provides shelter to whole universe and women use to protect her family. Those religions who did not respect women,it may possible after the founder of religions, selfish persons would have changed religions rules. This is my own observations as I observed in some Hindu religion also in some other context.

I can't address, personally, how other women feel. But I wonder if you've seen GODDESS REMEMBERED? What a beautiful place before patriarchal gods. I think testosterone has a lot to do with it. Think about CONTROL, guns, projectiles--the whole phallic symbol. Not all religions, or all men are like this. I'd like to see the "cycle" return. Women are intelligent & powerful, they just don't use the same means to an end. Go for it!

Many religions punish women with a dress code or by making them sit in the back of the house of worship because of the problem within the minds of men. The women need to wake up.

This is exactly the Problem! According to the Bible with woman of the Latter Days!

I find it Amazing that I see this - Here!

I define myself according to the Word of God. I am under my husband - My Choice! We (as Woman) were taken from Adam, we are NOT to be 'in charge'! I know that a lot of ladies will disagree with all of this - That's OK.

I go according to what God says, in Both Testaments! It is talked about in Both Testaments! Most woman - Even Christian Totally reject all of these teachings. I find that sad.

Now, True - there are 'Religions' that do very bad with Woman - they are for the most part - Ungodly - as far as I know My God - who is Loving, Tender, Merciful and Caring. He hears my Prayers and many times He does answer them -My husband is proof of that. I Prayed that If it was in God's Will that I would his wife! I've been married very happily for just over 10 years and would not trade my husband for ANYTHING!!!! OR ANYONE!!!!!!!

I am Truly Blessed of God - by the decisions that I have made in my life! I am happier than I have ever been in my life and I am Extremely Grateful for my husband and the way my life is going!

Be at Peace.

Grace Be Unto ALL.

Take Care and God Bless!

I agree. You should read an essay by this Italian dude back in the 16th century on "How a good christian woman should behave". It's so hilarious. It says how we are to serve and obey, and we are no better than animals in the field and we need to cater to men's every command. Made me wanna reach back in time and strangle the guy.

Yes! I also think this is a very healthy attitude. My feelings is that these rules were made up to control women. We are naturally powerful. Men often have to learn their power. So, instead of honoring what is real, they create fear in order to control. So sad.

Don't blame it all on religion - you forget culture, and history, and evolution - in fact these factors even influence religion
BUT a lot of people DO justify their backward thoughts using religion
