I keep seeing Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton in the questions and answers of white America.

You guys are just going to have to accept that not every single person in America is trying to help you personally.

I know we, as white Americans, feel as if everyone should be focused on US at ALL times, but there are other people out there that need help and attention too.

You guys are like spoiled 3 year olds that freak out because 1 of the 11 adults in the room aren't paying attention to you.

Booohooooo....why can't they help ME? What about MEEEEEEEE?? *snicker*

If you are crying because 2 people out of 300million are helping someone other than yourself, then yes, I am most definitely talking to you.

If this doesn't pertain to you, then I'm not talking to you, now am I?

You guys should chip in and buy a gigantic box of tissue. The extra soft kind with the lotion so your noses don't get irritated while you're having a good cry.

I think I missed exactly what you are saying. White people feel that others should always focus on us because we're white? That doesn't make sense to me at all. I think white people are probably the race with the least complaints right now. I always see minorities taking an unfair portion of welfare, and I always hear about the needs of Africa. And of everyone in a room I would think a black person would be the most likely to be crying out for attention. If someone is being loud and obnoxious at a party, it is usually some black guy.

You keep seeing sharpton and jackson in the questions because they are valid.....Donnie is an African American friend of mine(one of many)and he says sharpton and jackson represent themselves and not the black community.He says these two have done nothing but kept the racial devide going so they can make a buck.Say josh....did you know that sharpton worked hitlarys' senate campaign and found billys' harlem crib?Did you know imus was bashing hitlary for the last three months on his show?Doesn't it seem a little harsh for firing someone for saying nappy headed hos when chevy chase and richard pryor used the n word on live broadcast tv to get a laugh.How much you wanna bet those nappy headed hos were coached on what to say?Seems to me,as distiguished as they are,they never let bigotry stand in their way before.Hilarys' got a campaign to run and we can't let something like free speech get in the way of that,can we?Being a spoiled 3 year old,i still can see the bigger picture...I'm glad you gave me the chance to explain it to you.

First of all I don't think that just because I'm white attention should be on me at all times. I do however get pissed off when anything a white person does that Jackson and Sharpton have to be involved and then it all goes back to slavery and the blacks wanting an apology for slavery. First of all, no white person alive has ever owned a slave and no black person alive has ever been a slave so an apology would be pointless from us. I'm not apologizing for what my ancestors did, especially since the victims are deceased now.

liberal/progressives main goal is to make the world dependent on government. they feel that all problems can be solved by a government funded program or some committee to discuss the problem, screw that. I don't want anyone to give me everything I need. I want to earn what I get and feel good about getting it. responsibility has been thrown out the window. prime example of this mentality is New Orleans, the entitlement capitol of the U.S.. 70% of the population collect some sort of government aid, and if the truth be known, probably only 30% deserve it. It's been made too easy in the BIG EASY. the people may not realize it but they are their own worst enemy. Billions of federal and private dollars have been pump into that toilet bowl and they keep whining, but they still love their inept and corrupt government that steals and waste the money that we provide. got to stop now, ears starting to smoke.

The Declaration of Independence states, "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. ." Not the government's obiligation is to oversee your life, your liberties and your pursuits of happiness. I work hard, my husband works hard, we have been responsible in having only one child, because we cannot afford another and would have to use government aide. I would love another child, but it MY responsibility, not the governments'. We are buying our first home after 6 years of marriage and saving to get there. And you want to ask about entitlement? I am entitled to protect myself, my family and nothing else. This is why we have a welfare system that doesn't work, a social security system that is going to collapse and an income tax system that takes most of our money. We have created the idea of entitlement and now suffer for it.

African Americans believe in capitalizing on the fact that their race was enslaved in USA in the 17-1800's.

The American white people will spend eternity paying them back for the injustices that were done 6 generations ago.

Seems only fair, right??

I have a problem with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton because they seem to like a double standard. It's okay if they bash whites, but when someone like Imus talks about a women's basketball team, they freak out and get him fired. If they don't like what Imus says, turn him off. I don't expect everyone to cater to my opinion, that's what is great about America; we have different opinions and that's okay. But people seem to be forgetting that, they are too busy being freaked out by what other people say. Sorry if I got off the subject, I started thinking about Al and Jesse...I think people need to just shut up and worry about themselves...

This is what we need to ask of the Worst Generation Ever! The Baby Boomers..... Sucking off the accomplishments of their parents "The Greatest Generation" and piling up their excessive debt on their children and grandchildren. The hedonistic hippy liberals of the past have grown up to be the greedy corporate robber barons and corrupt politicians of today. They believe they are entitled to everything! At some point we are going to have to cut off the entitlements.....

That's the general left wing attitude, you must tax "the rich" (still waiting for a definition of "the rich", lefties) for their Ill-gotten gains made on the backs of the people and give to the "disenfranchised". The points that always get lost are that "the rich" are people who take risks and succeed, and "the disenfranchised" are usually defeatist whiners who either never tried or quit trying.

P.S. - Despite populist opinion to the contrary, "the rich" pay the vast majority of the taxes.

No one is "entitled" to anything. I've worked damn hard for what I have and it pisses me off when I see people "demanding" things I worked to get. Get off your butt, get a job and you too can have the finer things in life. I work 12 hours a day. Nothing came easy to me. I came from a poor family, yet applied myself, went to college,and now have all I could want. Anyone can do it...It just takes hard work. I know...that's a dirty word to some people.
