We buy DVDs from various shops..there we see that one dvd contains 3-4Movies in one..how are they made??

I want to know we people buy DVDS from various shops.those dvds contains several movies minimum 3movies in one 4.7GB dvd..how are they made...?? becoz through nero or any other writting software when i try to make that kind it doesnt work...i can make only one DVD only..whats is the process to make thats kind of DVDS which contains 3in one or 5in1..is it done by any softwares? or through a particular process...i want to know...plz help me..and can i make that kind of DVDs from .avi or .mp4 formats?? plz help me out..waiting patiently for ur replies..

Those are probably older movies, with source material in low enough resolution that they used Half-D1 (half of normal DVD resolution) so they can squeeze in more footage.

The DVD doesn't care how many movies are on there. The menu still works the same any way you try it.

There are no subtitle or extra language streams. The quality (bit-rate) of the movie can also be dropped considerably to allow up to 6 hours per DVD. Some of the more modern DVD players will also play DivX format avi files with very high compression rates and keeping very good quality.

Just make an dvd with nero or any other software & save it as dvd folder in your harddisk, you can add 3or 4 movies depending on the size, no matter what the size is on the dvd folder, the size may be 10-12 gb. But dont worry, open NERO RECODE, & recode the dvd into standard 4.7 gb form the drop down menu, or manually enter the size in MB you want to fit (for ex. 1.2 gb as in mini dvd ect), no matter what the size is, nero recode will compress the 10-12 GB dvd to a standard 4.7 gb dvd. I always make dvd with best quality & recode it to fit the target, Nero recode is my favorite software to compress dvd. njoy.........

as there will be more as even u can make 8in1 movies or more even u can make 3 in 1 movie on a cd CD
its true but just check out that the file size

and while writing with nero see that u make up dvd fromnot make movie cd as this option lets u only as to give u one r max of two movies if allowed as while writing ur NERO sft allows like that
when copying files from system to dvd that wil allow u to make movies 4 in 1 r more
as when files copied they are copied according to the file size r time basis

so when copying through file size it wil allow u to save up to 4.4 gb

and when doing with time it allows u to make upto 350 min
upto max

and it also depends on the dvd quality
