When he stood before the LORD God at Heavens Gates?

I think the LORD told him, "Well done faithful servant, Great is your reward.".

Jesus told the Pharasees that if they knew God the Father, they would know Jesus, the Son of God. This person laid down his life for his friends, so? He knew Jesus.

A lot of people will tell you that people have to believe in Jesus to get to heaven.

Jesus is the English translation of the Greek Isus which is the Greek translation of several different Hebrew names, the most popular of which is Yeshua.

That does not mean Yeshua was the name of the Messiah, Christ. It means Yeshua probably was his name.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Now if we only knew what his name was we could gather together in it. We only know it was not Jesus or Isus. I hate it when Christians make fools of themselves in front of academics going on about "the Holy Name of Jes-Us" when anyone with an education knows that was not his name.

Can we use Jesus, sure, most people understand who you mean and I believe God works with whatever we call him with Love and Respect.

The man in question was a Jew. The path to salvation is through the Messiah, Christ, Moshiach, the Anointed King.

If the person in question believed in the Messiah with all their heart and Loved God then I have no doubt that God, as is stated in the Bible, granted him salvation.

Even if he did not believe in the English name or use a KJV.

What tortured reasoning! The man was an Orthodox Jew and does not "know" Jesus. If there is an afterlife, he is now with his God and not with Jesus. What's wrong with you? Can't you Christians leave the Jews alone? The man was a hero who escaped the Holocaust and gave his life for others and all you can say is "he knows Jesus." This is why I have no use for Christians like you. You are arrogant and condescending!

If this wonderful man, who happened to be Jewish, is in hell, then I'd rather be in hell than with all the narrow-minded Christians in heaven. (I am a Christian, by the way, and no, I don't think it works that way)

This man showed amazing courage. How many of us, no matter our religious beliefs or background, would have done the same?

I can't think of a person more deserving of God's love (and rewards).

I would have to say, the very moment he realized to hold the door to let the kids escape.....he realized his lifes journey, it was all for that very moment.... " his lifes purpose ".

That teacher is a blessed man now.... a Saint.

I am sure wherever he is has nothing to do with christianity's concept of hell, or with anyone named jesus. I echo the sentiment above, can't you christians even leave DEAD Jews alone, and stop bothering us!!!!

No. He was a Jew. And had rejected Christ. At this very moment, he is burning in hell for all eternity. If you don't accept Jesus into your heart, you will join him.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from youselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast" - The Apostle Paul (Ephesians 2:8). Good works mean nothing (unless your Catholic, which he wasn't, so there's no Papal exemption).

Hmm... I think his last mental thoughts were "Better me then the young." He died to save the future minds of the children, not for religious glory, that's just doing it for all the wrong reasons and would send him to hell.

Greater love has no man than to give up his life for his friends, it`s gotta count for something!

That's a nice thought, huh? A lot nicer than the truth that the guy is just dead and gone. That's why people need religion, I guess. The fairy tale sounds better than reality. Don't take away from the guy's good works by putting your religious spin on it.
