An owl as a pet? Never heard of such a thing. I have seen them in zoos etc, but was under the impression you had to have a permit to keep owls in captivity.. Do you have a special permit? If not, you had better do some checking because you could get hit with some major fines if you are caught...

A barn owl could be called Phoebe or Nebula, a tawney owl can be called William or Bill and an eagle owl could be called Rebecca.

I had a book when I was a child about an owl named "Owliver". It was a version of the Oliver Twist book i think.

I'm not sure where you are but some states & places it is illegal & a big fine to own owls, hawks & other wild animals with out a special license if your planning on getting one or have found one...just for info too !
