Locally in Kenya the drug, which is granulated capsule costs the equivalent of US$ 2.25 per capsule. A full dose of 30 capsules makes it too expensive. A cheaper affordable aternative would be most welcome. Any suggestions?

I'd check with your doctor or pharmicist first, but I'm almost positive that a generic form of the drug would be just fine. Good luck with taking care of that ulcer. I had one myself 4 years ago. It was quite painful and I spent more than a few nights in the local ER in pain.

Most pharmaceutical companies have their own financial assistance programs where you fill out an application to receive the med at a lower cost , and sometimes free depending on your financial eligibility. Find the company that produces Nexium and go to their website. They usually have an application online.

You should talk to your doctor about that. You don't say what he prescribed. So we can't really tell you if there is a generic or a different but like med that would work as well

Start with this free offer on their website :
http://www.purplepill.com/
Otherwise "Prilosec" is a substitute.
Check with your Doctor if it suits your case though.
