Our Divine Father is actually very liberal, he lets us get away with all sorts of antics. It's his followers who are pushy.

No...He is like other parents. He wants you to obey Him...and when you dont...you are punished. God the Father is not pushy...but He will try to lead you to Him...and get you on the right path. Just like other parents.

He is a loving generous father. He created a beautiful and interesting home for humans. He wants us to appreciate Him for doing this for us. He also expects love and exclusive devotion.
He gives us laws to live by and what will happen if we disobey.
Then he leaves us to do what we will.
You have free will to listen and get the undeserved gift of everlasting life or die.

Not pushy. He just wants for us to beleive in His Son as Jesus Christ and live as He says. If you do that you will enherit eternal life in Heaven and life on earth can be much better also. I don't say that is too much to ask for.
