actually "after asi es como se hace" you might have to use an article, like "the". Here is some insight:

For a single item (singular), and a femenin word (femenin is when the word finishes in A), you should use "la" which it equals to "the" Ex: la pasta = the pasta

for a single item (singular) and masculine word (when the word finishes in O) you should use "el" which it also equals to the, but like I said before, you use it for masculine
EX : el pollo = the chicken.

Now if you want to use it in plural (in spanish 99% of the times words that end with an S are plural)
For femenine words you would use "Las" and for masculine "Los" .

So if you want to say the chickens you would say 'Los pollos"
and if you want to say the pastas you would say "Las pastas"

sometimes you would see words that end in e or any other vowel, that gets a little tricky there is not a pattern for it but if you want to say the meat you would say "la carne", it seems that the meat is femenin ;)
