Best I can tell, a big NO!!!!!!!!!
They are agenda driven and if you don't agree with them politically, they won't defend you even if you are the right color.

Great question. I sat here and racked my brain for 30 minutes. I cannot think of One, not one. How sad. Every civil rights group has an agenda now.

MLK was amazing and I wish there were more out there like him, white, black, hispanic, russian, any.

the every day Liberals do...the real ones...are concerned about it and do not want anyone to have special rights. but since some are definitely under-represented they probably deserve more consideration. many minorities are systematically discriminated against, special rules must be applied until such time as they are accepted...but when any group is given help others are going to consider it unfair...the rules must be color blind to work. Maybe we need to be more concerned with the people who discriminate than the color of a person's skin who is being discriminated against...punish the perpetrator and not reward the victim

Yes, black leaders want justice for all and the Civil Rights Movement was used as a model for other oppressed groups.

Racists have more recently felt they acquired the right to be openly racist over the airwaves. When racists abuse people it's hard to get them to stop.

This time with Imus, people had to hit them where it hurt-- in advertising funding. Stopping racist speech is extremely important, no matter what group they are talking about.

Perhaps a new civil rights movement will begin again to remind young people why respect of others is important.

MLK was the only one I can think of, he was a good man, and I ONLY wonder what would have happened if Jesse Jackson took one step to the side just before the weapon was discharged!

MLK Jr is the best example that you could ever give. And someone shot him for it. Anyone else out there like him, keep your head down.
