When a man gets a message from a lady on an on-line dating web site, should he wait 2 days before he replies/writes back to her? Or should he write back to her right away?

If the 2 day rule applies to online dating too, what does it mean if a guy writes back to her right away? And what does it mean IRL* too (when a man calls her the same day or the day after)?

*IRL = in real life

It’s too hard for me to decide who’s got the best answer, so I’m going to put it up to a vote.

Here’s what I liked or agreed with in everyone’s answers:

majestic_red – I agree. When a woman who’s profile really catches my eye and I like what I see, I usually want to write back to her right away!

fireleo16 – Yep, it seems stupid to me too. And that’s exactly why I would want to write back right away! I always think that honesty is the best policy anyways and her moving on is the other reason why I want to write back to her right away too. And knowing that she might move on usually drives me mad while I’m trying to obey the stupid rule too! lol

Erin – I’m with you. I think that we should through all of the stupid dating rules out the window! Lol

BTW, my so called “dream girl” turned out to be a fraud! She was one of those that are only out for $!! :( Which she didn’t and will not be getting from me.

I think the two day thing is stupid.... if a girl writes you that means she is into you and if your into her then write back why wait and play games... be truthful and things will work out better.... and if you wait she might move on

I've never been one to follow the "rules" of dating. Go ahead and write back to her. As for the call in real life, I'm always impressed when I get a call from a guy the day after a date, or later that evening. I would hope that it means he really had a good time and wants to continue things.

To me, it would mean that you really like the girl. However, I wouldn't be calling her on a day to day basis in the beginning if it does follow through and things look great.
I'd say wait a day then email her back.

it became uninteresting, sorry for being so blunt, even nevertheless it became. It became uninteresting to verify, exceedingly the way you phrased your sentences. occasion: Jane became my suited pal ever on condition that 5th grade. It basically sounds so repetitive. Jane this, Jane that, she became this, she became that. attempt fidgeting with the form of your sentences. no person's going to post this if it keeps to be this uninteresting. memories approximately some common intense schooler's existence bores human beings, no person likes examining that stuff. i could confident wish your tale has some interesting, exciting plot to distract from the uninteresting and monotonous character descriptions and sentences. solid luck attempting to repair this. BTW, i'm no longer attempting to be recommend, basically useful and grant what any writer could think of approximately this tale, nevertheless i'm no longer somebody who works for any writer.
