The main difference between aeronautical engineer and a pilot is, An aeronautical engineer is a person who designs a airplane or a helicopter or any vehicle used for aviation. But a pilot is a person who drive those vehicles.

The advantages of a aeronautical engineer is he knows everything about the craft(from the engine to even a small nut).
but a pilot knows only to drive.

An aeronautical engineer earns about 40000 to 100000.
A pilot earns about 30000.

An aeronautical engineer designs the aircraft, or aircraft parts, a pilot flies the planes. Many aeronautical engineers are pilots.
You don't have to be a aeronautical engineer to be a pilot.

I would guess that that the salary range is about the same for both.

The pilots usually start out flying small commercial planes and don't really make the big $$$ unless they can get into flying the bigger jets.
The engineer spends his first few years learning his trade too, and doesn't really make the big $$$ until he has been at it for a few years.

You can't compare a man to a woman. Each is different. But a man, and a woman, complement each other. In other words, one man and one woman (together) is one unit. They are a complementary pair.
