The theory of man-made global warming is false. Anyone who believes otherwise has not investigated the evidence or is purposely remaining ignorant to the legitimate opposition to global warming. I have given up an one and a half hours to watch “An Inconvenient Truth” so I ask you to do the same and watch the movie detailing the opposition.

Another general resource: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming_controversy
CO2 is not causing the globe to warm the opposite is true, the warming is increasing the atmospheric CO2. When the world heats it gradually increases the temperature of the oceans which serve as the largest CO2 sink. As the oceans heat up they release CO2 which is stored in them. The information comes from the same data Al Gore uses, the temperature always goes up before the concentration of CO2 goes up.
http://www.lavoisier.com.au/papers/articles/ninelieslaunch.pdf#search=%22vostok%20figure%20125%22
CO2 makes up only .03% of our atmosphere. Water vapor, another greenhouse gas, makes up 1-4% of our atmosphere, this gas is acknowledged to be the main greenhouse gas. All human activities combined contribute only 6 Gigatons of CO2 to the atmosphere each year. Animals, through respiration, decomposition, etc contribute 150 Gigatons of CO2 to the atmosphere. So humans contribute only a small amount of CO2 to the atmosphere which is already in very small concentrations in the atmosphere.
http://oco.jpl.nasa.gov/science.html This is where my data came from, it is an interesting site, it displays the same graphics as Al Gore in his movie but it tells how low the human contribution is. So Al Gore is using the same data but coming to a different conclusion, who do you want to believe a politician with no scientific training or the NASA CO2 laboratory, a group of scientists who spend their entire careers studying CO2.
We know the greenhouse effect is real it is a necessary effect to keep our planet at a habitable temperature. However if our current warming is due to greenhouse gasses it would cause warming in the troposphere , but the troposphere is actually getting cooler.
http://wwwghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/temperature/. That points to other explanations to our current warming.
So what is causing our current warming, it is the sun.
http://web.dmi.dk/solar-terrestrial/space_weather/

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/08/040803093903.htm
http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2003/17jan_solcon.htm
The fact that only the earth’s surface is warming points to direct heating from the sun rather than heating due to greenhouse gasses. Also other planets in our solar system are warming pointing to a common cause of warming, that common cause being the sun.

The global warming crowd says our glaciers are melting and animals will suffer this is another false claim.
http://www.co2science.org/scripts/CO2ScienceB2C/articles/V8/N46/EDIT.jsp
http://www.nationalcenter.org/NPA235.html
http://www.worldclimatereport.com/
the global warming crowd also claims a scientific consensus on the issue, this is wrong in two ways. One, there is no consensus, this is a false claim to make you believe in global warming by suppressing the opposition. http://www.oism.org/pproject/s33p36.htm
Second, even if there was a consensus it would mean nothing, science is not politics, you don’t vote on theories to determine their legitimacy.
The IPCC is the main supporter of global warming, their statements are defended blindly by people who don’t want to admit that global warming is not real. People will claim that they took into account natural sources of CO2, they didn’t. Take a look for yourself:
http://www.ipcc.ch/activity/srccs/index.htm. That is the latest IPCC report, read the entire report, do a search of the documents, there is absolutely no mention of natural sources of CO2. The natural sources have been completely ignored. Also people will claim that the IPCC took the sun into account in their report, this is not entirely correct, while the sun is mentioned the report it’s effects have not been accurately represented.
http://www.john-daly.com/forcing/moderr.htm. The IPCC did not take into account the Svensmark factor. This would greatly reduce the effect of solar radiation on the earth. Look back up to the solar resources to see the effect of the sun correctly represented.
Also allegations have been by IPCC scientists who disagreed with the IPCC statements. They say that their research was censored or taken out of the IPCC report. This is not the first time the IPCC has lied, they forged the famous “hockey stick” graph, which later resulted in a reissuing of the IPCC report.
Quotes form politicians, CEO’s, and others are not proof of global warming, they issue these statements to get votes and customers. Scientists are able to get published and get time on the media by supporting global warming. The IPCC continually lies and misrepresents data so they keep their jobs.
In regards to the precautionary principle that says we can only help if we switch over to alternative energy, this idea is not correct. While this may seem legitimate it only helps the first world, third world countries can not afford to switch to the more expensive energy options. Also the US currently spends 4 billion dollars a year on global warming research which could be better spent on research for disease or to fight poverty. For an excellent example of how the precautionary principle is harmful you do not need to look further than DDT. This pesticide was cheap and incredibly effective but it was banned because of it harmful effects on egg shells. Now thousands of people die every year in third world countries because of malaria, a disease that could be easily controlled with DDT.
I hope anyone who believes in global warming they will take a look at the resources I provided. These resources should convince you that global warming is not man-made, it is caused by cycles in the earths climate. If you are not convinced I hope you at least take a new look at global warming as an unproven idea. Remember that global warming is big business for anyone who aligns themselves with it.
I could not go this entire post without mentioning global cooling. In the 1970’s it was claimed that there was a consensus on the fact that the world was headed into an ice age. We have seen once before how damaging a false claim about our climate change can be to our world. Most of the global warming crowd does not want you to know about this scare because it is so similar to the scare today. Government panels were formed and claimed the world was headed to an ice age, evidence poured in supporting the claim, a consensus was claimed, then the whole issue just faded away. That is what will happen with the false scare of global warming.

Without human influence then global warming (and cooling) is a natrual thing occuing very slowly over long periods of time.
The world has always warmed up and cooled down of it's own accord but it does so very slowly. Temperature rises in the last 100 to 200 years are way beyond the limit of any natural variation, even if every natural factor combined simultanously.
Someone's been giving you wrong information about volcanoes - challenge them to provide you with evidence of what they say. Humans created 29 billion tons of CO2 in 2006, what you're saying is that volcanoes produce 290 billion tons of CO2 per day, 106 trillion tons per year, enough to bury the whole of the US each and every year. If they really did emit that quantity of material the wold would now be hollow and would have effectively turned itself in-side-out. Besides, it's sulphur dioxide that volcanoes primarily emit not carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide blocks out sunlight - this is why the world coold following major volcanic eruptions.
50 million years ago the world was free of ice and plants grew everywhere (but not palm trees in the Arctic - check your facts). This isn't the only time the world has been free of ice, in the half billion years for which we have climate records it's happened on four occasions. These cycles are roughly 100 million years apart, the average change in temperature trends is just 1 degree C per 2.5 million years, about a quarter of a million times slower than temperatures are currently changing.
Continental drift has a miniscule part to play in the current global warming trend and even over periods of millions of years the changes are slight. Continental drift changes the surface of the planet by millimetres a year.
If it's an excuse to tax the voting public perhaps you can cite some of the taxes that have been introduced or are proposed. You'll find that the tax benefits for not polluting the atmosphere far outweigh the penalties, roughly $2 benefit per $1 cost.
Question global warming by all means but check your sources before relying on them, what you've been told is complete nonsense.

It is a natural process of the earth, but the pace at which it is happening now provokes cause for alarm. Never in our history has the earth heated at such a rapid pace, also never in the earths history have humans had the ability to alter it until now. Between our current technology and enormous population size, we can alter some of the earths processes. Only time will tell how resilient the earth is. The earth does have natural feedback to the effects we can have on it, but are the effects so slow and/or so massive will it impact the human race? The natural recovery processes could send the earth into a ice age or continued heating which could be beyond our capabilities to survive as a species. Global warming and cooling is natural, but the rate and range is far beyond anything pulled from ice cores hundreds of thousands of years old.

Global warming is caused by the Sun. For the last couple of centuries the Sun has been going through a period of intense and growing activity, including coronal mass ejections - where massive amounts of hot gasses are blown away from the solar surface.
When the Sun exhibits sunspots - areas of intense magnetism on the surface, the Earth temperature drops, because solar activity is much less.
In the 1600's sunspots were very prevalent and the Earth went through a phase that is known today as the Little Ice Age.
Human beings do not cause global warming, because Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere rises AFTER the temperature goes up. C02 isn't even a major greenhouse gas - water vapour is.
We should try to recycle our waste, it makes sense to do so, but this tidal wave of reducing carbon emissions is getting hysterical. It won't do much good anyway because it isn't Carbon Dioxide that is causing global warming.
Much of this debate is fuelled by those so called experts who predict death and disaster in 25 to 50 years. It is nonesense, as you cannot reliably predict weather patterns for more than two weeks - not to mention that their climate models are 98% guesswork.
Global warming is big business - 2 billion was spent last year in the USA alone. There are sixty qualified climateologists in the USA. So where's the money going?
Don't forget that in the 1970's they told us there was an imminent ice age. It didn't happen. As I've said before, the hysteria about global warming is caused by bad science and dodgy politics.
Scientists who are studying the sun expect a drop in solar activity over the next ten years. If that happens the planet will cool down again. Until then we'll pay more taxes and worry about air travel while our government cuts all emissions except its own.

Sorry, no--current global warming is caused by humans.
There are natural causes of global warming--but whaat the junk science people don't bother to mention is all those were investigated by legitimate scientists and ruled out.
And--BTW--no, volcanoes do NOT "produce more CO2 in a day than people do in a decade. That is wrong--in fact, the Royal Society last year published a report showing that that bit of misinformation was deliberately put out by the oil companises (specifically, Exxon/Mobile).
A small part of the increase of CO2 is natural--about 15%. The other 85% is human activity.

Global Warming is natural. But it is meant to happen at a much slower rate than what it is. Over the past 100 years the global temp. has risen approimately 3 degees. This may seem like a small number but it is haveing an effect on many plant and animal species. The most common example is them moving to higher elevations. Meaning they are living in in areas that were once to cold for survival. U r right when you say global warming is a natural process, but mankind, has made it worse and happen faster.

It is natural! Over the course of billions of years the earth has heated and cooled many times. Ice cores from the Andes show tropical plant life where today there are ice caped peaks, north Africa was the agricultural hub of the Roman Empire with rivers and lush fields. Maybe these climate changes can be attributed to Fred Flintstone and his SUV or the Roman Ceasers and their upper atmosphere polluting jumbo jets, but I not so sure about that. People willing to dictate policy on 100 or so years (in a planetary history of billions of years) worth of data , which in and of itself is shaky, spotty and inaccurate for much of that time are not looking for science they are looking for a cause.

Not natural. Volcanoes put out much less CO2 than man, and what they put out is cancelled by the dust they emit.

Yeah. You are correct but that doesn't mean we can sleep and pollute all we want. We may expedite the cycle but the physical pollution like effluent killing marine life from sewage treatment plants and so on are things we need to fix up soon. These are equally important to reducing the green house gasses.

NO It's all our fault. yes Volcanoes put out much CO2 in to atmosphere but in past way beyond humans took the control of this world there were lots of trees covered all over the ground so automatically the CO2 is controlled. But now we humans cut down trees and get the hold of ground which was covered by trees. so now the CO2 does not cycle. it stays. we are the ones who caused this and we are the ones going to suffer from it. if u really want see how we dominate this world use Goggle-Earth and go around the world and see the concrete jungles once covered with trees

Global warming has always been a part of the earth. However, this time it is different. It is warming up much faster than before. This is because the fossil fuels are burnt.
