Armageddon translates to The Hill(s) of Meggido. The place west of Jerusalem. It is a vast valley of those hills where armies from many nations will gather for battle (Revelation 16:16). The names of the nations are not stated, rather referred to such as the Kings of the East, presumably China or such. The United State is not specifically mentioned anywhere in the Bible. The story goes that this battle will continue, and would continue until all on Earth perished. Except Jesus will come in Glory and smite all nations that have come to war against His people. It says that unless Jesus arrives, all will die. Jesus will kill off the wicked, but there will be some that survive. Following this battle, Jesus will establish a 1000 year kingdom on Earth. The Christians that had been taken up in the 'Rapture' will be with Him to rule with Him.
The valley of Meggido is probably the single most fought over piece of ground on earth. A great number of wars have been fought out on the same soil.

Jesus isn't waiting for issues to worsen before He comes lower back. he's waiting for the whole international to hearken to the Gospel, then the tip will come after everybody interior the international makes the determination to settle for Him or reject Him. the 1st link decrease than is an thrilling article observing what the Bible particularly says will take place interior the tip situations--and that's different from each and every of this "Left in the back of" stuff that too a lot of human beings have latched onto. What concerns isn't what occurs to believers in Christ, yet that they have faith Him no count what.

Not to worry. If the book of Revelations is correct and Christ "comes back", the world would be stunned into submission..... I'm sure if this would happen, he wouldn't be born in a stable in Bethlehem this time but would arrive with much pomp and circumstance.
Of course, one must first believe the myths to be concerned about it. Personally, I am a "questioner", not a believer.
I believe the bible was written by ignorant and fearful men who wrote things down using their own reference points. In addition, it has been edited, re-written, chapters have been added, removed, translated and re-translated..."lost chapters" have been found, chapters have been lost.
It is logical that those who wrote what is contained in the bible wrote from their own perspective knowing little or nothing of the physical world beyond their small portion of it. Things that occur in the natural world were not understood. In trying to understand the world and people around them, the writers used their own personal reference points.

An answer to your question is so vast and complex it cannot be answered in such a short space and time. If you wish to discuss this we can do so by email. My email is ceykaous@yahoo.com Send me your email address and we will commence a discussion. But for starters I will say that the Battle of Armageddon will not be an ordinary battle between 2 sets of nations. Instead, it will be a battle between the armies of Heaven under Christ and the armies of the earth under the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. Read Revelation chapter 19.

It speaks of a great battle with Jesus with a sword coming out of his mouth or something like that and maybe Jesus will say something and it shall smite the enemy. The Nations will be the middle east probually. Islam is the ultimate rival of Christianity, or it will be communist states, Atheists ya know, and maybe "fallen christians, and jews".
I think the U.S will go with Jesus and we will kick the crap out of the enemy.

Jesus Christ will not fight. When the end of the world is near, he will take the good people out like a thief in the night, and the rest, I'm sure will die horrible deaths. Jesus is loving, he will not fight against people whom he loves, and died for so we could go back to our heavenly father and live.

The WHOLE world. Know your Bible and you won't have to ask questions such as this.
And PAUL, BARB, JOACHINN...there's no such book as REVELATIONS. Don't believe me? Look in your Bible at the title of the last book CLOSELY.

Don't put words in his name. Besides, when the dirt hits the fan, who would prefer to be at your side, him or a Carbine?
