It's used by Satanists to portray a reversal of Christian ideals, so I suppose in that context it does.

Tradition has it that Peter was crucified upside down because he did not feel worthy to die the same way as Jesus.
I know from my days as a pagan that the people I hung around definitely used an upside down cross as a rejection and mockery of Christianity.

There was a saint... Peter, I think, who was crucified for his beliefs but didn't feel that he deserved the honor of being executed in the same way as Jesus, so he begged to be crucified upside down. The upside down cross honors him.
Of course, used in a certain context it does mock Christianity, if that's its intended use.

Sometimes it's used to symbolize St Peters death. As he asked to be crucifed upside down, not being worthy to die as his Lord.
The word "evil" itself is the word "live" spelled backward. And many use the reverse form of things to symbolize chaos and destruction, rather than harmony and creativity.

Why should it..........the Cross isn't even a true symbol of Christianity.........it is a pagan symbol.
The correct opinion is that Jesus, (if he was crucified, which as a Muslim I don't believe he was) would have been on an upright stake not a cross

It shouldn't if you stand on your head it would look alright. Try it and if it works let me know as I have very high blood pressure.
Didn't the Romans try that when they crucified Paul. Well I think it was Paul.

I think people who wear them think it does. They want to be provocative. I don't care, it's just a symbol. I don't worship the cross, I worship Jesus Christ.
