Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already...(MATT 005:028).

Jesus said that whoever looks upon a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her. How does society curb the sin of Adultery of the eye without crushing the sexual drive as if it was some evil desire (as per early Christianity) ?

Looking at ones wife with Lust is a good thing and it is a natural process for procreation. Islam does not consider this an evil from the heart. However, to look upon a woman whom one is not married to, is considered an evil action because that is the first step toward the sin of Adultery.

The bible describes Babylon, which was the most progressive, modern and highly educated city in the world during its time, as being a cursed city with women who displayed their hair and beauty like prostitutes.

The veil is obviously very unpopular with men since they cannot have their daily eye candy and it makes fornication and adultery more difficult.

Wearing the veil is all about obeying God and it is a divine solution to the root cause of social and family breakdown.

The Veil liberates women from the oppression of daily sin that other women are subjected to by MEN who want to see them uncovered.

Today, men have convinced women that their success depends on how little clothing they wear.

In Islam, women can leave the home for necessary purposes but the ultimate teacher and homemaker is the Mother and the job of raising the next generation is considered an honor.

Islamic men are commanded to lower their gaze in modesty when standing in front of women. Muslim men are also instructed to keep the beard, wear loose clothing and cover their heads.

Islam teaches that the pillar of society is the Mother, take her out of the home and society will crumble…. GUARANTEED !!

you are very correct. Yes it does protect females from lustful glances indeed. I often wondered when I was Christian why we never followed passages like this. Once I found Islam, it all made sense to me.

I'll state up front that I am not Muslim, but that I respect a woman's choice to wear or not wear hijab, niqaab or anything else. That said, yes, in some ways I do think the headscarf (why call it a veil? A veil covers the face!) or hijab in general does protect a woman from men. On the other hand, I think it prevents a woman from learning how to defend herself. There is an assumption from many Muslimahs that I know, that if you're covered, no one's going to harass you, and if you've ever been to Morocco, you'll see that's not the case. My mother-in-law, who wears hijab properly, still gets harassed on the streets. Unfortunately, it's just embedded in the culture. The question is - WHY is it so embedded in Moroccan (and many other, but not all, Arab cultures)? In America, if a woman wears long sleeves, a long skirt (let's exempt the headscarf for now, since the idea of hijab is modesty) and dresses modestly for her culture, she is not typically harassed by men. Men in America do harass women, of course, but not every woman that walks by! They harass the women who are wearing the least, whereas in Morocco and many Arab societies, they harass anything with a heartbeat! It's sickening, really. Why do I think they do it? Because they're not used to women! For centuries, men and women have been so separated in Arab cultures that now, Arab men have turned into lowlife sexual harassers, rather than the pillars of their communities that they should be. This is so evident when you take an Arab man outside of his culture - does he act that way? NO! It's Arab societies that cause the behavior, NOT RACE! So do I think hijab is a good idea? No. I think women should dress conservatively, with little or no makeup, and be sure to teach their sons properly that women are not objects. If a boy is taught correctly, rather, if ALL boys are taught correctly, than this won't happen.

The rose protects its beauty with its thorn, the woman protects her beauty with a veil. Islam gives the best of rights to women. According to Islam the woman was created from the ribs of the man. Why not the bones of the feet? because she is not inferior to the man. Why not the bones of the skull? because she is not superior to the man. Why the Rib. Because she is equal to Man. Well if you ever noticed the y say so many muslim men rape the muslim women which is not true. According to statistics, america is the said to be the country with the most number of rapes in the world. Dont you think if the american women start covering their faces this would drop down by atleast 1%. Allah says in the Quran-

There might be a few rights that men might have more than women, but at the same time women would have some rights more than men. So its balanced. The man who is the best in the eyes of his wife, is the best in front of Allah. Well basically men and women are EQUAL.

The prophet Muhammed (*pbuh said the doors of paradise lies in the feet of your mother and once when the companion of the prophet asked who must he love, then the prophet said YOUR MOTHER, the companion then asked who then, the prophet replied YOUR MOTHER, the companion asked who then, the reply was YOUR MOTHER and teh companion asked for the fourth time and the prophet muhamemd (pbuh) said your father. Women in matter of dignity and love comes first whereas men come first when it comes to earning money. So the rights are balanced.

O Prophet! say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (33:59)

Praise be to Allah, Islam has been guided in the best path. Alhamdulillah

And here is poem for all teh believing muslim women.

What do you see when you look at me?
Do you see someone limited, or someone free
All some people can do is just look and stare
Simply because they can't see my hair
Others think I am controlled and uneducated
They think that I am limited and un-liberated
They are so thankful that they are not me
Because they would like to remain 'free'

Well free isn't exactly the word I would've used
Describing women who are cheated on and abused
They think that I do not have opinions or voice
They think that being hooded isn't my choice
They think that the hood makes me look caged
That my husband or dad are totally outraged
All they can do is look at me in fear
And in my eye there is a tear

Not because I have been stared at or made fun of
But because people are ignoring the One up above
On the day of judgment they will be the fools
Because they were too ashamed to play by their own rules
Maybe the guys won't think I am a cutie
But at least I am filled with more inner beauty
See I have declined from being a guy's toy
Because I won't let myself be controlled by a boy

Real men are able to appreciate my mind
And aren't busy looking at my behind
Hooded girls are the ones really helping the Muslim cause
The role that we play definitely deserves applause
I will be recognized because I am smart and bright
And because some people are inspired by my sight
The smart ones are attracted by my tranquility
In the back of their mind they wish they were me

We have the strength to do what we think is right
Even if it means putting up a life long fight
You see we are not controlled by a mini skirt and tight shirt
We are given only respect, and never treated like dirt
So you see, we are the ones that are free and liberated
We are not the ones that are sexually terrorized and violated
We are the ones that are free and pure
We're free of STD's that have no cure

So when people ask you how you feel about the hood
Just sum it up by saying, 'Baby its all good!'

Praise be to Allah, the best of creators

Islam is interpreted differently because the only secure reference for understanding the facts of it is Quran and Quran is a mysterious and needs a deep thinking.
But, I as a Muslim lady believe that covering the body in most cases causes less sexy attractions and allows woman to integrate in society without being concerned about their sex and gender and keeps them away from the adulterous and lustful glances of men and can feel relaxed in a society and active and also be loyal and faithful to their family.
But, about the scarf or veil you mentioned ,I have read in Quran that :"wear scarf (veil) to BE KNOWN(as Muslims woman who refuse luster)."

In your question you mentioned that beard and covering the heads and ect is a command in Islam ; I do not believe them . This is again the interprarion story.

I don't think so. Actually, in this country (USA) I think it ATTRACTS unwanted attention, as a curiosity.
Personally, I think if the women are forced to wear veils the men should have to wear them as well. A beard is not a sufficient substitute; you can still see their leering mouths and their smiles as they abuse women for the smallest infractions. i.e.: If a woman is raped, should she be put to death for now being unclean? Like a veil makes a difference there...
You mention the veil as a possible solution to the "breakdown of the family and society" that is "being caused by adultery and fornication." Maybe the real cause for the breakdown is the systematic abuse and denegration of the female by the misreading of scriptural texts, many of which have been altered from the original over the years to "keep women in their place" as men would like them to be kept.
If you base your beliefs about the "early Christians" ideas about sex being dirty on the good old King James bible or any of the newer ones, you've missed the boat. You'd have to go way back to the original early writings to find the truth: That women were equals to men, their partners in every way, and sex is a gift from God to be celebrated.

for every single man (Muslim and others):

ALL THE MEN WHO IS TRYING TO MAKE THE FEMALE BELIEVE THAT "YOUR BODY IS YOUR WON BUSINESS" AND "SHOW THE BEAUTY OF YOUR BODY"...THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A WORLD WITH WOMEN NAKED BODY TO MAKE THEIR EYES HAPPY ALL THE TIMES.
IN THE STREETS, OFFICES, PARKS..ETC. AND NOT ONLY AT HOME.
DO NOT CHEAT YOUR SELF AND BE HONEST AT LEAST WITH YOUR SELF WHAT IS YOUR FEELING WHEN YOU SEE A YOUNG PRETTY WOMAN'S BODY.
IF YOU SAY NOTHING SO WHAT ALL THIS NUDE IN TV, INTERNET, X-RATED SHOPS, PROSTITUTION...

for every single woman (Muslim and others):

WHY DO YOU WANT TO LOOKS SO GOOD WHEN GOING OUT SIDE. DO YOU THINK ALL THE EYES AROUND YOU ARE INNOCENT. DO YOU WANT TO ATTRACT THE EYES OF MEN. DO YOU KNOW THAT EVERY TWO MINUTES A FEMALE IS RAPPED IN USA.
WHAT IF YOUR PARTNER SEE MORE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN THAN YOU, AFTER SOME TIME DO YOU THINK YOU WILL ATTRACT HIM ANY MORE....? DO YOU THINK YOUR BODY IS YOUR WON BUSINESS OR YOUR BODY IS FOR MEN'S EYES BUSINESS.

For Muslim women who don't wear Hijab, real Muslims might consider that the glances of men will inspire you.
