I wish there was some way of honoring Santana on Yahoo answers but i dont know how. He is to me anyway the greatest answer ever on this site and definatly in Yahoo Boxing so may his 1st place stay for a long while. I hope to one day get to the top ten but lets let Santanas record of 524 and counting stay the top for at least the remander of the year as many others close in.

He was a good man. Although I never shook his hand or looked him in the eye, he gained my respect and friendship. That isn't easy to do.

I always enjoyed Santana's comments, I'm sure his actual company was even better. There's never a good time or good way, it's an unfortunate part of life. To all his friends and family, I am so sorry, my prayers are with you. Perhaps one day I will meet Santana in the new Earth.

This man touched my life tremendously without me even meeting him. We talked via email all the time about boxing and he was so full of knowledge. But the thing i really admired most about him was his humbleness. He always answered every question with respect and class, something that this world that we live in is sorely lacking. He made you forget how bad a place the world can be. He was what i always aspire to be in life, a humble, good, respectful person. He will truly be missed by all of us on here who loved and respected this man. He's probably talking to the boxing greats up in Heaven right now. Marciano, Patterson, Pep, and others, they're all probably telling him that he knew more about boxing than they did and are giving him his props. R.I.P brother. We love you!

I corresponded with Santana thru Yahoo answers and grew to respect his decency and class as much as his great boxing intellect. His passing was an emotional impact for me, so I can only imagine the pain of loss his family and close friends must be enduring. All connected with Santana benefited in a positive manner from a truly good and loving man, and he will be sorely missed. My prayers are with all who loved Santana in this time of loss.
My deepest condolences to his family and other friends, he was a gift God gave to each and everyone who knew him.

He was one of the kindest, nicest, most respectful people I've ever had the privilege of meeting in my life. His knowledge, demeanor and the courtesy that he has always shown to others is something that we should all aspire to. Even though we only spoke on line, I have always looked up to him, admired his answers and the way he treated all of us and considered him to be my friend.
When the news came last night I was just gutted. This is a sad day and a great loss for everyone who has known this man.
In the end I would like to express my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, our prayers are with them in this difficult time.
Rest in peace, my friend.

I did not know him but my boyfriend admired him so much as an expert in the sport of boxing and as a good person. I know Santana was highly respected and I send condolences to his family and may he --as you have said--rest in peace.

Very perfect executed, Dani I felt this way while Gilda Radner handed directly to the comprehensive beyond.. The dying of those interior the same old public eye is lots greater of a fact than in case you or I handed directly to the comprehensive beyond. It provides us greater visuals into the reality that a lot of our acquaintances and relatives undergo. cancer is our enemy Why can no longer we wipe it off the face?

So sorry for the loss of your friend. Google the funeral homes' name, enter his name and the date of his obituary. They might have an online guest book and you can post your comment there.
