There are large variety of programs. What You need to do is - lower the bit rate of the mp3 and/or cut certain part of the song. then you`ll be able to put several songs on your phone even if it doesn't have large amount of memory. Hope it helps!

I know my phone can take mp3's, but I'm stumped as to what mpeg files to use for movies and video clips. Sorry if I haven't been much help.

nokia multimedia convertor is the best, it converts videos or music to .3gp files and works a treat! Its free and well worth a quick download.

you could try DVD shrink 3.2 if it doesnt work a wouldnt know but it works for some of my ipod stuff
