Canvas Mold and Mildew Removal
To remove mold and mildew from your canvas tent, or awning, first vacuum or brush soilded areas to remove any excess dirt. Wash the affected area with a solution of 1/2 cup Lysol to a gallon of hot water. Rinse with a solution of 1 cup lemon juice and 1 cup salt to a gallon of hot water. Allow the canvas to air dry in the sun.

You can also try applying a cleaner such as IOSSO Tent & Camping Gear Cleaner. This cleaner is made to remove tough dirt and mildew stains. Afterwards, you may want to treat the canvas with a water-repellent compound such as Canvak.

Good Luck! :)

I got the same problem with my camper. I'm going to try a light bleach spray and lots of paper towels to dry up. I can't think of anything else. Maybe some diluted bathroom mildew spray will work' but the active chemical is still bleach. To Jew girl when a storm is coming with 90 mile an hr winds you put the camper down no matter how wet it is.

I would go to a big camping store. In Florida it is usually Camping world. They carry just about anything and everything needed for any type of camping.

You could always test a tablespoon or two of bleach into a gallon of warm water. Bleach kills mildew or mold. Test an out of the way spot and see if that works for you. Sponge it down. I personally think this should work.

It will need to be aired out really well after and allowed to dry thoroughly on a nice sunny day.

Good Luck, I hope this helps.

Resolve spray should work excellent for you. Use a scrubby brush and work in circles then wipe off with clean towel. Let the inside dry well and keep it dry in order to keep the mold at bay. Chlorox may stain the canvas. Happy camping!

50/50 bleech and water solution will dry up the mold and you'll be able to get it off then. the bleech should kill the mold spores so it dosen'e come back. just be carefull if the canvas is any color but white or tan

our first pop up got some mold on it..not much you can do about it..but a camper dealer where i eventually bought my brand new colemen from said to use a mixture i cant remember what it consisted of but if you look up your local RV dealer they could tell you.
also..to prevent that from happening..after camping set your camper up at home to dry in the sun..never put them down wet or even remotely damp..also in winter to prevent mildew from forming put a pan of scoopable cat litter in and dont forget moth balls too

what about t.s.p. and then using wet cloth to "rinse" followed by paper towels or a dry cloth. if you do it on a warm day any wetness that gets inside could easily dry out right away.
