I'd at least call my doc/nurse if I were you. It also depends on how old you are and/or what the health problems are. I haven't had a period in a few months but it's mostly due to chemotherapy; however I have been going thru menopause and skipping periods here and there for a while. Also, were you regular before you went on the pill? Both of my daughters went on the pill at pretty early ages due to irregular and very long periods (bleeding for three months straight is not normal) and/or severe cramps---the kind where you can't stand upright. Other medications or stress can cause missed periods.
I really think you should talk to your doc, or whom ever prescribed the pill for you.

The period can be delayed by stopping the pill as well and can take the body a bit of time to start having regular periods after having been on the pill for some time. I would also recommend double checking with your dr to see what they think could be going on.

When I came off the pill after being on it for a few years it took awhile for my period to become regular again. I didn't have one for about two months and thought I was pregnant but I wasn't. If it is bothering you then have a chat to a Doctor who'll be able to answer all your questions.

You may want to talk with you gyno and talk about PCOS (poly-cystic ovary syndrome). This disorder can cause you period to not come. That happened to me and I didn't have mine for about 3 months. Did all the prego tests and blood test to see what is wrong. Not until the put one of those ultrasound things in there did they find the root of the problem. Birth control is the only way to keep them stable.

sometimes it doesn't show up on a home test esp. if you have alot of bacteria in your urine.I would suggest going to the doctor and getting tested there.

also I dont know if this works but my sister's pregnancy test was coming up negative and then she drank alot of water and I guess taht cleared out the infection enough for it to detect the pregnancy.
