Do you think that our government is doing there job anymore? Isn't it the peoples job to put a stop to the craziness that has took over? I don't believe our government would allow another Boston tea party act, which makes me wonder if we are not a commnist country pretending to be democratic. (please excuse the spelling)

I think that as a people we should do more to ensure that our government is working more for us, and less for themselfs. Isn't the point of a government to represent the people they govern over?

I think it's more a question of ethical behavior. All of a sudden the rules have changed, as it seems our gov't wants to alter things. If we allow them to change our constitution, we are in for nothing but doom. It will take a huge run on Washington DC, to really make them listen...like that of the days of the civil rights movement. If you sit by idly and don't care to vote, much less search for as many answers to whats really going on,and make them accountable then they can pretty much do as they please. It's hard to hold on to the truth, with only 7 corporations controlling the news, but we can find our way, if we really care to.

Our elected officials seem to work on two things. One, they work on getting re-elected. Two, they are avoiding taking on the tough problems such as Social Security solvency, Medicare solvency, the budget imbalance, the national debt. From January to today, the House passed one ridiculous bill. The Senate, to avoid tough problems, is busy bashing the Attorney General over a non-issue.
To say that ours is a communist government is patently absurd.

The only people I'm really disappointed with are the legislators. Judging from the 2006 election, the people are quite capable of replacing them, so I'm happy about that.

I trust the will of the people, even if I disagree. So for me, the system still works.
