Its on the floor under a plastic lid...and my dog is sittin there trying to get it lol...what should i do with the damned thang.?

If it's a roach then you probably have more than that roaming around where you can not see them. It's creepy, call an exterminator.

Squash it. The dog will want to play with it otherwise, and it will get away and reproduce.
