I would buy one now - I don't think there's going to be much of a price drop now. The price has already gone down so much. I bought a black iPod (not silicon one) 2GB last year around this time and I got it for £115 off Ebay. Now the exact same ones are about £80 in the Apple store AND they're the silicon ones! Also the iPod Shuffles are quite good £50 for 2GB.
Hope it helps.

If you know someone going to the States, buy one now as the Dollar is almost Two to the Pound and they are much cheaper there anyway. If not, try finding a company on that side of the pond that will post one over for you. You should expect to get heavy import duty charges though.
The next update is not expected until at least October/ November ready for Christmas, if Apple actually release one. If they do, then Bluetooth and a 100gb Hard Drive Model are the expected hot addition's to the iPod Video range.

Hi i have heard very bad things about pod and would not want one, i personally would rather have a creative zen these are much better and do not change the format of your music. But i would suggest that you wait until the summer if you intend to by a Pod due to the fact that pod intend to launch the new phone on The 11th of June, this will make prices of their iPods drop. Hope this helps George

NOOOO!!!!! don't buy an ipod! you pay for the name ipod, when you could buy another mp3 for a decent price and the qualitytends to be better. can i recomend you have a look at "Creative Zen" i ended up getting the "Vision:M" when my ipod mini kicked the bucket. i was going to buy a 4Gb Nano but ended up getting a 30Gb creative zen for only £10 more than the cost of the nano, the zen plays films has a great screen and you can use it as a portable storage device for almost any file on your computer. It's fantastic.

When is it good to buy an iPod?
When they bring out one with decent sound quality and that doesn't fall apart, pack up or erase all your music within the first 3 months. A long wait, methinks...

Don't do it.
My friend is complaining he can only upload songs to it from iTunes.
And I hate that 'jog wheel' too.
They look great, but there are so many MP3 players to choose from, why not shop around?
