i've had a bump since i was in high school and it hasn't caused me any problems, but since last august i've noticed it has gotten larger but my weight has stayed the same and it is only on my bump that has gotten bigger and most days now it feels heavy and it feels as if i'm pregnant but i'm not.

every so often it swells to make me look as if i'm 5-6 months pregnant, its really bothering me. i've been measuring it every so often and i measured it last night ang i'm measuring 40 inches around my bump as i swelled up last night within 15 minutes of finishing work.

Hi, there are a million and one things it could be.
do you suffer from trapped wind or irregular bowel movements, it may be irritable bowel syndrome, or it could be fibroids or cysts.
is it hurting you or causing discomfort, i would definately go see your GP and if they dont know then get them to refer you to somebody that might.
are you regular with your smear tests?..
I'm a womens health Nurse, and see abdominal swelling all the time, somtimes its nothing or maybe fibroids that need to be removed, but sometimes it's more sinister.
i would really push your doc into doing something about it, sometimes they need a good kick up the ***.
best of luck though and i hope its nothing to be concerned over.

lol. im in the exact situation as you. it's not that im overweight or anything, just that i have a belly that i cant seem to get rid of. i used to not really have a belly. my only suggestion would be to either get a good workout at the gym or go for about twenty minutes to half an hour everyday or try doing lots of sit-ups every day or perhaps take up yoga.

Your doctor cant just say - dont know what it is - and leave you to suffer, surely! (Mind you, I've got one at my surgery who's just like that!). Perhaps you have a fibroid or something - insist your gp follows it up if you're so uncomfortable and very worried about it. You dont say how old you are - but you could ask a relative to go to gp with you if you're in the younger age group. Good luck.

You should go to the doctors ASAP! This could be a tumor or a cyst! Get your self checked out because this could lead to many bad things.

Have you ever had it looked at by a doctor? It may just be a harmless fatty deposit which is common in many people, but you should let a doctor examine it to be sure it's not something that requires treatment.

Girl! Get yourself to a doctor - better yet the Emergency Room. It sounds like you may have a tumor, which may be cancer - it may not, but only a doctor can determine that. Please don't wait, because the longer this "thing" is allowed to grow, the more damage it could be doing to you! I wish you the very best! Take care!

This situation needs to be evaluated by a dr to see if it could be a cyst or something else.

Honestly, I would go see your doctor about this. Obviously it's concerning you, so I'd go have it checked out.
