I believe the episode was "Lessons", where Picard played a flute (which he obtained in the episode The Inner Light), while his love interest for this episode played the piano.

Nella Darren (Wendy Hughes), interrupts Picard playing his Ressikan Flute in his quarters, and conveniently carries with her a rolled up piano, and they subsequently duet. They later do a little more playing in the Jefferies tubes.
The episode in question is in Season 6 and is entitled "Lessons".
