I love Palawan and the best I've been to so far is Club Noah Isabelle, which is located at the northern part of Palawan.

For two days and three nights, I stayed in a cabana, which overlooks the ocean. The package also includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet which are just fabulous -- the freshest seafood, the most sumptuous meats, freshest fruits, lots of choices.

I also went scuba diving and snorkelling and the waters are as clear as glass. Fish play around you even at knee-deep waters - which shows you how clean the waters are. I also went island-hopping and had lunch at nearby Isla Blanca - with beautiful sands and a lovely breeze.

You will be assigned an island guide who will assist you throughout your stay. And the best thing about Club Noah is the peace and serenity it provides you. I can't find it in other Palawan resorts which are too commercial...

If you want peace of mind and heart... and a beautiful place that you don't want to leave, try Club Noah. You won't regret it, trust me.

Check out their web site at www.clubnoah.com.ph for photos and packages.

If you're up for a real adventure, no need for hotels! The pensions and inns are affordable and you can choose from a few of them too. I forget the name of this pension in Puerto Princesa, but price is really cheap and you get to have an electric fan in your room. Electricity in Palawan has schedule, though.

Same thing goes for when you go to Sabang and El Nido.

Fortunately I still have the contact numbers of this nice place in El Nido town. It's Og's Inn 0916-7070393 and 0920-4040223. Very friendly owners and staff. Very clean and cheap (rooms at 250-500 pesos a night!). There are other places like this scattered all over Palawan and most of them are affordable and have got a lovely view, especially in El Nido.

Food is fresh most everywhere, in the cafeterias and restaurants. There are restos that have reasonable price for most delicious, freshest seafood!

My friend chartered a whole day boat trip with local boatmen (P1,500 8:30am to 5:30pm) to go around the islands, take pictures and snorkle around limestone karsts and hidden lagoons of El Nido! That was a great bargain!

As for the weather conditions in October, you just have to tune in to the weather stations, but typhoons don't usually hit Palawan. You can try contacting Palawan's tourist information center though to ask about sea-faring conditions and other stuff.

Best wishes and have fun on your adventure!!
