The blossom is a sign of the potent sexuality of the plant, the creative energy from which we are all sourced.

I have never heard of that one, there are apple blossom festivals here in the states, but I have never heard of "Christening" the trees .... sounds akin to the custom of "Wassailing" your fruit trees at Yule to insure a fertile crop...

Just found a site---Washington State Apple Blossom Festival.----could be something to do with that.Sounds a nice idea but have never heard of it in U.K perhaps it is one of these local things.We have oyster festivals near us ---something like that.
