Ok i reallly love music and lately(8 months) ive been really into psychobilly and rockabilly and i need some new known bands to listen to!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, all of these bands mentioned above aren't rockabilly. Although, with those stupid names, I'm sure they're psychobilly(I hate that word) bands. Since the early 60s, rockabilly, unfortunately, has become s-h-i-t! Tell me of an active band that has the 50s and early 60s sound. It's impossible to find authentic rockin' cats these days.

blind melon are not rockabilly
reverend horton heat are by far one the greatest live acts around. the albums are okay, but live, the rev rocks. best time you can have at a concert.
check out a now defunct detroit band. they aren't really rockabilly, but have that influence. they are like a po-dunk hillbilly band. they are called Goober and the Peas.
there are a few myspace tribute sites for them. of visit www.gooberandthepeas.net or www.motorcityrock.com for streaming audio.
lead singer goober miller is now in an alt/country band called Blanche.... great great band. check them out out on myspace or their website www.blanchemusic.com.
Goober Miller aka dan john miller also starred in the johnny cash biopic as luther perkins, johnny's guitarist.
