how do i fix this dvd drive problem?

When ever I play dvd movie now on my computer, the sound is distorted alittle and its slower than normal. How do I fix this?

Sound like you need a faster PC or clean-up your PC to make it faster.
More RAM help, do a disk clean-up, spyware check and virus check. play DVD only with no other program running.

I can play DVD movies on a Pentium lll 500Mhz w/ 3x128Mb sdram. But I make sure NO other application is running.

If you have less RAM than what I have, stop unnecessary startup programs. You can do it thru msconfig. But it would be great if you could just add more RAM.
