Well, people think they know the reason for life, but they don't really. The only one that knows the real pupose of life is God.
So truthfully, you can pick answers with people telling you some reason they think, but I know that that is not true for ONLY God knows for sure.I'm sorry if I ever offended any body in my message.I just had to tell the truth.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Love.
It's so simple.
People keep asking this question. They want to think that the answer is something so complex & esoteric & unknowable. Some great mystery, some secret.
The truth is that it is the easiest thing in the world if you just accept it & open your heart to it.
Love yourself and you'll be happy. Love others & you'll be fulfilled. Love the world & you'll make a difference.
Love is all the meaning you need. Without it, life is meaningless.

The meaning of life is NOT 42. By the time the computer gave that answer, the question had long since been forgotten.

Aside from a Monty Python movie...
Thats a question you have to answer for yourself, everyones life is different and has different meaning. For the most part I believe life is about the journey and learning who you are more than anything.

Life is made of both time and matter. It is a small component of the universe, however, it is differentiated in the quality of activeness, movement, and occupancy. Created by the Deity, the universe is made of 118 elements known to us humans. Elements compose/bond together to create distinctive shapes and characteristics of matter. While some matter is inactive others like humans, animals, and plants are active and therefore are lively.

To live and learn. Leave a legacy so that you may live on even after you are long gone. It is different for everyone. The true meaning will only be learned when you have checked out for good.
