I've never put it on the clock - but I've made love with partners long over 4 hours and although we we doing wonderful "other things" during that time, everything seemed ready to go if we got turned around that way. But as a "mature" man - "Johnny-Jump-Up" wants a break every hour or two which is not a problem as I am complemented on doing wonderful "other things" during inbetween times. ;-])
I think the 4 hour thing can be a problem for users of Viagra because many users are older and might not have strong hearts - and a guy's erection needs that blood being pumped up so a weaker heart might have a problem. But if the guy can run a mile or bike for a few hours - it shouldn't be a problem IF he has a strong heart

It is possible, but it is a bad thing. If the penis remains erect for too long, the tissue begins to die. That might cause a loss of function in the penis, or worse. Men that have erections for over 4 hours, that don't go down even with sex or masturbation, need to get to the hospital or their doctor to have the blood drained before serious damage is done.

Just to let you know it is possible. It wasn't Viagra, but i tryed a free sample from my dr of another kind.It is not a funny situation.Just to let you know my wife and i didn't have sex all night but it stayed partially erect for about10 hrs. I have problems due to high blood pressure. We have been married for 32 yrs so sex is not the main love in our commitment.
It is very painful.Eventually it went away. NEVER AGAIN.

The Impotence medicine Cialis found more effective than Viagra. I have never seen anybody saying that he had an erection for such a long time using Viagra but i have heard about Ciais which is giving good Results and works for long 35 hours. Please visit http://www.121doc.com/?a_aid=121 for details. Thanks.

I imagine it is painful, and the blood supply could be causing problems with the tissue getting enough blood. Priapism.

It is possible, if the blood is not circulating but pooling in the penis soon it will start to clot. It has to be drained or its all downhill from there.
